Hi again Dragon slayers!

A belated Happy New Year to you all! It's me, Stan, if you remember me from the philzone. I'm still alive but barely. Still Hep C positive but no symptoms associated other than slightly  elevated enzymes in my  liver panel tests. Have a lot of other health problems that preclude tx. Had a transient ischemic attack aka "mini stroke" Nov 2016. Really changed my life.

Anyway, enough whining, lol. How are all y'all doing? Shout out to the old crew! Sound off! ;-)

Everyone else, nice to meet you!

Cheers!

Stan

Glad you got on Stan.  Welcome to the new Zone.

Stan, I'm glad to read that your Hep C is asymptomatic other than slightly elevated enzymes. Sorry about the TIA.

Hi Mark! It would be great if other only Zoners check in, there aren't many here. Some of the folks who've been cured don't have the interest they once did...

I don't know. Maybe they don't want to be reminded?

Some people came for information and support and when Harvoni, et al, came along they didn’t really need much of that. Maybe that has something to do with it?

Hi folks - Its me I'm back !! Its really nice to find a home again where we can get back together and give the care and support as

we once found at the Philzone !!!

Hippyburntbruce

Hi Bruce. Glad you made it!

You know who it is. You just won't admit it.

Mark, I spent a few hours with Kimberly in Eugene today. It was sweet and we had a good time.

We miss Walt, don't we.

Very much Judit. Glad you guys were able to get together.

What a crew in that shot!

Talked with Maxwell last night.  Both he and his wife had covid 19. Both recovered.  Diane had 104 fever for a week.  Both got pretty sick.  Dave said it was like interferon/ribaviron times a hundred.

Thanks for the report about the Maxwells, Mark. I'm so sorry they went through that and glad they recovered. Scary.

Glad to hear everything's now copecetic on Uncanoonuc. wink

High Everyone, I"m back I hope this time, was given a password that does not work and need to always relay on the old forgot my password line, because I want to make sure I am on to help this site as it use to be on the old zone, but I see we only have a few anymore! I need some info about changing my password of my choose ? Well, winter is here in Montana with cold winds and snow, time to hibernate as much as possible music playing and smoking my medical marijuana ! Our 2020 election here was good, Montana has legalized marijuana finally. But we have a group-WRONG FOR MONTANA are trying to make marijuana illegal again after 65% of the Montana voters voted to make it legal; for me I am going to keep my Montana Medical Marijuana card active just in case !! My caregiver and I have been real lucky not to get this co-12 virus shit, but the cases are low here !! Everyone Have a Grateful Evening !!!

Hey Bruce!  Good to hear from you. Sounds like you are coping well. Keep on keep'n on!

Hi Gang Glad to be back here. I went to hang with Michelle Beckett  and Frankand it was phun. We talked about Bruce and Mark plus others from the zoner jam. I have a video of that with Mack in it and as soon as I learn to burn I will send copies to whomever wants one.

Well high to everyone who still is coming around, thought it was time to drop back in to see how everyone is doing and how everyone  is coping with life !!! I have been coping with a flu and cold since December, tested for covid and was tested negative, but what ever it is, its kicking my ass lately, plus feeling a bit of old age, but our weather here in Montana does not help !!! Of course we are still dealing with winter here, can not wait until spring !! You know, I still miss the old days on the Philzone, we had such a close family there, and it was always fun getting on either to just share or trying to help !! I was sure very happy to find a family who cared when I first got on, I remember before finding the zone and all the wonderful zoners who came to my aid, the hep-c was hard to deal with when I was also dealing with PTSD, and manic and bipolar depression; at time feeling no hope and always feeling death near, but I had a close family on the zone who cared and saved my life, and I with never forget you folks !! Sorry I don't get on more like I use too, but lately some where I got loss, don't know what happened, but lately mentally and physically I feel like I had fallen into a void that I can not escape !! It's hard to explain, my life has become meaningless !! If anyone can help and explain , please do !!

Like Betty Davis said, "Getting old ain't for sissies"

But it beats the alternative.  Feeling my age a little more too Bruce. You just gotta keep making adjustments.

And keep busy. I have so many projects here at the house that I want to complete while still here.

And I still play Civilization on the puter.  Baseball, Baseball and baseball.  Go Giants.

And I have my dog, Nellie. She is my family and keeps me from being lonely here in Lake County. My only old friend that lived near just moved to Costa Rica. New friends are good, just not the same.

So, try and keep busy and don't sweat the small stuff.

Peace

Thank you Mark, I just needed a little boost,I quess I am lucky, having people who care !! I hate feeling old, but I'm 71 years old and still shocked that I am still alive after going through so much !!! Now days since baseball is back, have been watching alot of games, and playing Lord of the Rings online, especially the way our weather has been here for the last several months, I try to stay inside as much as possible !! My caregiver, Mikey is still with me and our 4 cats, and they are great companions ! Go Twins and the Cubs !  Take care Mark and Have A Grateful Day !!!

Hey Stan, I remember you and glad to here you are still kickin' and checked in. It ain't over till it's over so keep up the good fight!

Hi Bruce, hope you are feeling better than you were from that post on March 15th.  I've been in that void before and it sucks for sure.  Here in Baltimore the spring weather is here and that has always helped me immensely.  Is Montana a sunny place or lots of gray days?  Spring should be right around the corner, no?  Are you mobile enough to get outside when the warmer weather hits?   I had to move out of Cleveland Ohio because of all those damn gray days. For me it was a huge trigger for depression. Exercise really helps me stay above water, but I know at times it seems so hard to motivate to do anything. I really hope your spirits are lifting some.

Astro, Stan passed  away since he posted that.

Oh, bummer. I am out da loop obviously.

Thanks

Our weather here in Montana is getting better, 70's and sunny, but we still have snow in the mountains which be melting meaning flooding ! I am doing ok, I guess feeling the effects of old age but I deal with the best I can!! Still smoking my medical marijuana, which is helping with depression and etc, and it's nice to just get good and stoned, listen to music, and watch alot of Baseball games- Go Twins and the Cubs ! Everone Have a grateful Day !!!!

Sorry to hear that Stan passed away, another brother gone !!!

Hey Bruce, good to see you on here again and thanks for the update.  Sounds like Spring may be helping the mood some.  I sure hope so!  I certainly remember when this folder was a lifeline to many folks. I was working as an RN back then and our clinic was treating many Hep C folks.  Therapies were new and changing and the word cure was starting to be used, at least for certain people.  Wow how time flies.

I did quite a bit of Hep C counseling back then and found the info on the Philzone was very helpful to combine it with everything our clinic was doing in relation to our Hep C patients.  If I remember the meds were free, but it was always the damn side effects that were so difficult.   I haven't kept up medically, but I sure hope progress has been made over the last 15 years relating to the meds and the side effects.

Are your virus levels undetectable these days? I sure hope that is the case. I'm lucky in being a 65 year old guy with not many medical issues.  An ongoing gallbladder issue that has hospitalized me a couple times, but currently under control. The damn depression thing does pop up, but Baltimore is pretty sunny and I think mine is mostly triggered by long gray shiitty weather.  Anyway, glad to hear you are doing somewhat better tha a month or two ago. May this spring and summer be glorious with lots of great music.

The newer meds are 99% effective and have virtually no side effects.

I still suffer from sides from the interferon/ribaviron.

Just saying hey now. Just in case Bruce or another old warrior comes around. Feel Free to check out other stuff too. Not like the old  zone.
