Cinnamon Toast

Forums:

I'm pretty broke, but I've got bread, butter, and cinnamon. What's your snack?

I've got fresh celery and a jar of peanut butter.

Good for smoky days...

BTW:  Cinnamon Toast was a favorite, growing up.  We always put too much butter on everything.

Ooo, good idea. Hi, Johnny. Good to see you. And yeah, I've got a lot of butter. Yum.

Is there such a thing as too much butter?

Not. Good evening, Judit.

Good to see you, Floops.

You too, Judit.

My Dad used to dip saltines into the plastic butter tub.

I saw a little kid just eat a stick of butter. Yeeech! Judit, what's your snack? I could actually go for NYC street tacos served with jalepenos and radishes.

Almonds, broccoli (previously steamed, cold from the fridge), red bell pepper.

Floops, if you've got cinnamon and a toaster, you're a rich man. My maternal grandma used to make us a depression era treat: Sugar bread. White bread smeared with margarine, and sprinkled with white sugar.

I forgot, cold meat, like dry chorizo or just left over meat from the fridge. Also (homemade) hummus.

I just had cold steamed broccoli with olive oil and grated parmesan cheese for lunch.  My mid-day staple.

Arbequina olives with pits

sometimes a crunchy snack like cheddar crackers or kale chips or almonds

Memories of cinnamon toast, yes!

Tears and shame

I am from philly, 6.. make it a double please

Judit, no more blueberries?

Sourdough toast with lots of butter(No, you cannot get too much butter), and smashed avocado with sea salt

Fresh fruit  cantaloupe, local grown pears, apples

Floops, your cinnamon toast recipe needs a little sugar.

I have been eating a lot of fermented zucchini pickles. Tastey and a good probiotic. And the answer to the question "What to do with all these zucchini?"

Hi Mark. Blueberries are for breakfast.

Apples & Peanut Butter

Almond, Raisin, Dark Chocolate Chunk, Pumpkin & Sunflower Seed trail mix

fontinella cheese

genoa salami

When I was a kid and the cupboard was almost bare I used to make lettuce, mustard, and pepper sandwiches.

Haven't had it in like 30 years, but used to make Cinnamon toast with sugar

Yes, I have sugar too. I just forgot to mention it. Thanks, Mike.

Damn, you peeps are healthy. I have no gardeners around me. And I have no space for a garden. I wish.

I do have carrots and cukes, etc. I'll have some now.

Sugar free popsicles

and honey mustard pretzels

but not together

not that there is anything wrong with that

On the homemade side

I put either mild pepper rings or shoestring carrots in an olive oil garlic Italian dipping spices and Parmesan cheese marinade.

1 cracker

1 thin slice of pepperoni

1 slice of cheese

add marinaded peppers

Finally started to make my own sushi rolls. Easier than I thought on a certain level, although I'm sure a real sushi chef would easily poke holes in my techniques.

Aww, jeez. I've gotta step up my snack game. That sounds great, fabes.

I'm not into sushis, but good for you, JP. Cheers
