woah-lite

it's a pizza...

$14.00 plus a buck for delivery.

Did the Papa Murphy's take n bake $13 large triple pepperoni (3 types) on thin crust the other day...   a cardiologists dream!

Doesn't look very appetizing.  Way too much meat.

^ That's what she said

soy sausage, soy cheese, cauliflower crust

you should have titled this thread "why people pay $34 for pizza"

What's the most you've ever payed for a pizza daylight?

And was it worth it?

This like one of those "Pass the Brush" challenges, right?

You start with the OP's pic, and end up with something edible?

Tell me you paid for extra meat, Jaz? They should call that baby "The Double Heartstopper".

^ correct, heart attack in a box -

Beer and a handful of legumes and greens now and again is all you need

Beer, or as we call it down on the farm - cold barley soup. Can totally sustain life. Includes all the basic food groups.

I thought beer was a food group.

Appears to be a "Sausage Pizza"  w/ extra Sausage.

If I recall,  Jaz has several Large-Breed Dogs.

My theory is they stole the leftovers,  after Mr. & Mrs. Jaz had a slice or two and went out on the Porch to watch the local Birds.

My Theory (which is mine) derives from careful observations over five years with a "Large-Breed Dog".

Because I feed H.I.M.  mainly grain-free Wolf Chow and meats,  he feels "grain-deprived".

If I leave a half-slice of Pizza on the dashboard while paying the Gas-station attendant,  Hüsky steals it.  That's because he craves the Wheaten crust.

So if he caught a whiff of that Extra Sausage pizza,  it would vanish in seconds.  He would leave the Box.

Looks a little lacking in red sauce for my tastes.

^ Everyone's a critic.  The Dogs slurped that down without chewing.

whoa is right.

What's the most you've ever payed for a pizza daylight?

And was it worth it?

$5 a slice at difara's in brooklyn, several small-ish $20 pies at old NYC shops like patsys or robertas, $40 for a whole sicilian at artichoke bassile on telegraph in berkeley

yes it was totally worth it. the type of pizza you get at any old bay area/cali pizza shop isnt even pizza compared to a place like difara's...not even in the same universe. most of that stuff is just tomato cheese bread overloaded with low quality toppings. dont even get me started on stuff like pizza my heart...the overtopped, bready and soggy bay area style hippie pizza joints like that are the absolute bottom of the barrel.

there are many shops that serve high quality slices in NYC for just a few bucks, but im not aware of any in the SF bay. there are cheaper but still amazing places like emilias in berkeley, but its still not cheap, or places like golden boy in sf, but their pizza quality, while still strong, isnt nearly as high as artichoke bassile or emilias.

FWIW - if anyone decides to try artichoke bassile, DO NOT get the artichoke slice. it will look like a good idea, dont fall for it, its basically artichoke dip on bread with cheese. but their plain round pie, meatball pie, and sicilian margarita are some of the best in the bay.

That is a single layer heart clogger, indeed.
