Bring on the Carne Asada Plf! My favorite. I'm coming to Ventura when the state is open.

Add some queso Chihuahua and they sound perfect!

The taco truck down the block has great tacos, here with their avacado / jalapeno sauce

cilantro = essential

I don't understand people who don't like cilantro.

Hey Now! I am down for a Ventura Zoner area taco meet-up, whenever that may happen. I did hit up a late night truck there which was surprisingly good after the Wolf Bros played last Sept....also ran into Bobby afterwards which was, of course, pretty cool. Hell, I'll even bring a grill and do it up on the beach myself, or whatever works. Keep it in mind and on deck!

I don't like the double tortilla thing. Too much for my taste. One is enough.

cilantro is tough to balance and usually overly applied. overpowers and ruins the taste of stuff; especially in guacomole.

Yes Plf on all your ingredients.  I still prefer a bit of fresh quac on my street tacos if avail.

Plus, if you're willing to stray from your Cholula... try the green El Yucateco.  It's a lot hotter though.  Use sparingly.

Sounds delish Rob.  Looks delish Druba.  Oh yeah. Cilantro for sure.  There is a great taco truck in Middletown, but that is half hour away. And there is an excellent taqueria in Kelseyville that I hit up often.

Man cannot live without street tacos.

theyre just called tacos

daylight, I always wonder what people mean by "street tacos". Aren't they just tacos? It sounds like you have a similar outlook.

I love tacos.

Street tacos are usually 2 soft corn tortillas, one of several marinated or roasted meats, onion, cilantro and salsa. My favorites are carne asada and al pastor.    Not to say gringo tacos are bad, I was raised on them and still like them. But not in the same league.

nice. tacos have everything. color texture and flavor.

im getting into flour tortilla tacos -- homemade flour tortilla.

also the hardshell tacos are amazing. seasoned ground beef, shreddd lettuce, shredded cheese, sour cream, diced tomato, fantastic. you really don't see that often -- is it much diff out west ?

What makes them "street tacos"?

edit: I see this question was already asked / answered.  In that case, why did Speak & Spell pronounce "W" as wuvvull-you?

There are some old school places been around 50 years plus  in LA that serve hard shell tacos.  They're great.  Ramona's, Tito's, Dianna's for example.

nothing like a good taco

Add some queso Chihuahua and they sound perfect! <<<

i go to 4 way meat market for my marinated carne asada - they know what they are doing !
