Saviano half shroom large Pizza_0.jpg

At $12 a pie from Saviano's in Bohemia. NY (1 mile round trip), I leave it the professionals.

Extra avocado please

How much of those are you guys eating?

I had Pasta e fagioli soup tonight.

You can have that entire Pizza Slacker. It's thin, and I think you could down 4-5 slices, or almost all of it.

the tomato pie looks big, but it's only 6 slices.

reheats  nicely.

Pequod’s Pizza, Gario's, Orno's- definitely had my fill lately.  No pics.  There's a ton of good pizza.  Really don't eat it that much, there are many options.  Didn't have countless choices pizza wise in south FL.

I love pizza but never eat it. Wish I could. I can do it crustless, but what's the joy in that? I wouldn't call it pizza.

thats an inappropriate comment brocho

I enjoy thin crust spinach, sliced tomato and black olives, and some black pepper.

Judit, is the pizza issue a gluten thing?  I've made pan pizza with a crust made out of shredded zucchini or potato.   Cook the crust first (Hello olive oil), then top it and cook a little longer.

Daddy-O!

gluten free pizza is all over the east if thats the issue J. Im sure with the right toppings it might be good! They gotta have it in Eugene!

If its carbs well, im sorry. I couldnt live without bread unless my body strating rebelling.  MMMMMMM bread

I like a margherita wood/coal fired pie.  Or any really.

The square tomato pie out here is served cold. its a different animal, but tasty.

It's diabetes/carbs thing. I'm going to try making a cauliflower crust, it seems to be a reasonable alternative. I like cauliflower a lot, so why not.

Thanks for the suggestions.

This thread needs more photos.

I Like The Pesto One at Whole Foods and always Marias Italian Kitchen....

Dang that looks tasty!  How did you get crust so well done? Looks like a coal pizza.  Did you use a pizza stone? They seem to help the homeade pies. Do you deliver?

^^ looks pretty good sans onion :)

yes, i use a pizza stone. my oven has a convection setting as well, the fan really bumps the temp up past 550-so i'll toggle between bake and convec., that way the cheese doesn't get burned but colored nicely and the crust gets burnt a bit adding flavor. the pie above is 00 flour and AP, creating a "neapolitan hybrid"- 3 day rest on the dough.

That is some artful cooking right there. I love the high temps on the crust, I cant stand those rolling pizza ovens. Good pie takes a watchful eye. good on ya!

IMG_1471.JPGthis pie is from totonnos in coney island. delicious pie.

The THINNER The Crust The Better !

Lookin GOOD Pyramid !!

I'm Starving !

Went to a graduation party last night.  They served three different kinds of pizza and appetizers.  The size was football (serves 7-8), never seen such a thing.  NO more pizza for a bit!!

Judit, just saw a frozen cauliflower crust in my local market! When I've made it, it didn't come out that great. I'd like to try the frozen

Just had "schars" (?) Gluten free crust and it was remarkably excellent!

I think I'll succeed by starting from scratch, adding egg and cheese to cooked cauliflower that's squeezed dry after steaming. Bake it partway, flip it, add toppings and bake again. Or at least that's what seems like the right way to do it.

Yea i sure didn't do all that (;

Can't wait to see pix and hope you love it

good luck with that recipe, j, sounds delicious! like jlp said, report back with pictures. :)

heres another pie from pyramid, best pies in the state ~ this one was most superb high.

Looking forward to our New Years tradition.   We throw a homemade pizza party that last several days.  I always like to make a sweet potato feta pie.

It's hard to get genuinely good pizza in Colorabrah.

Place by my house called Parry's isn't bad. Best slice I had this year was in Brooklyn. There is no equivalent to east coast pizza in Denver.

I just had New York Pizza, which is an alternative to Dominoes, which is also in the area.

This is a very recent development. At least I get some American-style pizza.

You can have that thin crust shit. I'd call that something else, like pizza cracker.

MAy I order two large pepperonis and a medium pizza cracker. 30 min? Yes thanks.

Had a fantastic 1/2 Sausage, 1/2 Cheese pie & Pasta e Fagioli soup last night.

Pizza is literally the perfect pre-concert food.

went with some fresh and whole milk mozz, andouille sausage, white onion and pickled hot cherry peppers IMG_2333.JPG

^ hazmat in the kitchen area?

Mom was in town and we went out for some good square cut thin crust at a local place.

^haha, kinda. and nice, love a thin square.

Jeez. Shits making me hungry and I already ate pizza today.

Waiting for Gilman's flight to land and then we are off to pizza ourselves. Looks yummy!

Gotta get to that spot in Coney Island. Probably next month.

hey jengc, say hey to kingdb from the gang!

Thank you, smiley! I told him hello from you.

We are enjoying our time together. Thanks again.
