Phil w/ Musselwhite DEC 9: ISO 2 tix

Help some Oregon Phil fans get TXR tickets for Dec 9, just need 2, please!

Bumping this back to the top.

(and I'd love 1 ticket, once LLOLLO gets hers)

Cheers,

JD

LOL, thanks brother Johnny D! I'll keep an eye out for you as well!

LLOLLO,

Do you folks drive all the way or take a plane (PDX -> SFO) ??

It can be a gnarly drive through the Siskiyou range in December.

Disco, good to hear from you.

For TXR shows we usually fly into Oakland....as much as I love being in "The City."

We prefer to drive it, even in the winter, unless the forecast is really bad... early December is usually not a problem... and we leave enough time for a Hwy 199 detour to 101 if needed.

Road trips are just more fun... and then we don't have to rent a car....and we can bring back cheap booze and other SF treats from Cali... we'll see what we do if we get tickets... we've got jobs w/ deadlines to manage...

Nice to  hear from you as Well.

I attended some of the NYE and Summer PLQ shows in BayArea back when,  with driving and flying for different ones.

Driving from OR was 8-9 hours and often there would be Snow in the Siskiyou mtn. passes in Winter.

Flying still required "Ground Crew" to get everyone rounded-up and get to The Shoes.

I wish you all the Best finding your tickets !!

Thanks Disco! I have faith.... several Zoners know that we're looking, too.

Also posted to Cash or Trade.

bump! just got tix to 12/10 David Nelson -- now I gotta get 2 for Musselwhite to make the weekend worthwhile.

Bump!

Some number of years ago we were headed for the Bay Area by car for some shows - can't recall which ones. We prefer going by car - partly so we can bring treats TO Ca - if there's time. Headed down 5 towards the passes when we found out the Siskiyou was closed due to snow. OK, not a problem - got on 199 at Grant's Pass and headed over to the coast. This was before there were devices to inform you of these issues in real time.

When we got to Eureka we discovered that 101 was closed around a big rock slide near Rattlesnake Summit. We got on 299 headed for Redding. That was a mission - crazy wind and rain, water pouring off the cliffs and across the road, dodging rocks and mud, Finally made it to Redding and eventually SF.

Pretty sure the shows were worth it.

Could have saved a few hours and taken a local road around that slide on the 101.  After NYE it was open for a little bit until wse got to it.  We took Bell Springs road, cracked some beers and drove an 1 hour to go 12 miles and around the slide.

Bump, still looking for 2 to TXR this Saturday, 12/9!
