Moderate: There are no educated conservative Republicans & Mitch

Forums:

Found this moderate Republican's view very interesting

conservative Republicans cannot put the word “educated” before “conservative”. No one has ever accused Paul Ryan or Mitch McConnell of being “educated”.

I am an educated moderate Republican - the difference being that conservative Republicans cannot put the word “educated” before “conservative”. No one has ever accused Paul Ryan or Mitch McConnell of being “educated”.
I held the position of Republican committee precinct chairman and was a two time Republican delegate. I fought the fight but resigned when George Bush cooked his own Iraq intelligence. I was told about it well before it became known but I do not support anti-Americanism.
Right wing conservatives have always been a source of conspiracy theories since the McCarthy hearings followed by the John Birch Society followed by the Tea Party Movement followed by the resurrection of racist White America to be followed next by the coronavirus conspiracy whack jobs. I have never heard of a conservative Republican supporting science as that is contradictory to their aims.
As moderates we had to include the radical right (which represents about 30% of the Republican Party) or we would not win any elections. So we included their sexist, anti-women abortion platforms or they would write in for Pat Robertson versus vote for us. Want conservative Republican donations? Hold a raffle for an assault rifle.
But the pendulum swings both ways. Democrats do the same thing with low income minorities, promising free health care as a legal right and cable TV and a cellphone as necessary to go with their welfare check. Welfare recipients never did better than they did under Bill Clinton. The biggest difference between how we both buy votes is that conservatives are lined up to vote whereas low income Democrats have to be driven to the polls by volunteers. The only thing these two voter classes share in common is that they’re both dumb as stumps.
And no matter which party you count, they are 30% of America.

who is the self-proclaimed "educated moderate"?

IMO the above is just about as much bullshit as you can fit into that many words. First I'd like to hear his definition of "educated". Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan are both university graduates, and McConnell also has a law degree. They are not uneducated  or stupid, they are assholes.

and there's nothing moderate about repeating a bunch of racist rightwing talking points about minority voters.

Mitch is scum

carry on

30% is way too low

>>>The biggest difference between how we both buy votes is that conservatives are lined up to vote whereas low income Democrats have to be driven to the polls by volunteers.

This is just false. wtf?!
