How many people you think are saying...

"Damn! I should've voted for Trump"

*** Crickets ***

When you read through some of these, it becomes evident just how much we, as a collective nation, have been dumbed down.

I'm an independent who believes both parties and now clearly, 3rd party non-US actors, have all played a part in this process. Translation: this is not a pure Trump and Trump supporter bash.

That being said, in looking at this small population of admitted Trump supporters who are becoming disillusioned (note: he's not even in office yet, so disillusionment began setting in within 6-10 weeks of placing vote), clearly illustrates that they either were completely clueless on many things or surely fell victim to things like fake news, innuendo, rhetoric, etc.

Watched the movie Idiocracy last night for first time years. Found it on Amazon. It's a bit hokey, but surely a classic and today, unfortunately apropos.

A quote from Idiocracy...

Narrator: As the 21st century began, human evolution was at a turning point. Natural selection, the process by which the strongest, the smartest, the fastest, reproduced in greater numbers than the rest, a process which had once favored the noblest traits of man, now began to favor different traits. Most science fiction of the day predicted a future that was more civilized and more intelligent. But as time went on, things seemed to be heading in the opposite direction. A dumbing down. How did this happen? Evolution does not necessarily reward intelligence. With no natural predators to thin the herd, it began to simply reward those who reproduced the most, and left the intelligent to become an endangered species.
