It's a pretty big honor for a civilian to receive. 

 

Perhaps not as big as the one that Rex Tillerson has, but a testament to what Joe has given to his country. 

 

He also lost his son to cancer recently, so criticizing a show of emotion is in poor taste.

Well, for one thing: He was instrumental in preventing Jeff Sessions from becoming a federal judge, thus allowing him to shine during his anti Ku Klux Klan assault and to become a well-respected senator.

 

Secondly, think about other recent VP's.  How do they compare?

 

Also, how about what Biden plans to combat cancer?

 

Finally, he has an in with the person who dispenses such rewards...kinda like Mr. Tillerson.  devil
