(And yes, I know well that most of you be like - "who in the hell needs another GD cover band" - especially in SF???)
Anyway, long ago I told my now, 19 yr old son, "don't touch my fuckin' guitars!"
Of course he grew up obsessed by the guitar artistry of Jimi, Jimmy, Jerry and Trey.
He connected with a few local pals to jam with similarly enlightened parents who reside on the south side of SF.
Since I have a jamspace in my house, they got busy playing GD jams and needed a bass player.
So now the band has been officially dubbed, "Ted & Company!"
We just got a fund-raising gig on 3/25 at the Ocean Alehouse in SF to support Tom Murphy's efforts to fund Jerry Garcia Day in McLaren Park.
If any of ya are in SF, please stop in and see how the next generation of kids is applying their minds, hearts, heads and fingers to Grateful Dead Music!

^ I wish we could do it again, but time and logistics are difficult these days. Not sure if anyone is up to dealing with securing a location. JGA became cost and red tape prohibitive.
As for Stu, he might do it again. I would ask him, but I haven't seen him since the last Z-Jam at JGA.
Marty's in San Clemente now, playing with a Dead cover band, Easy Wind, and some other projects.
I'm pretty sure a Z-Jam could get Psycho Genius.
