Zone Sitcoms

Forums:

Which fictional Sitcoms can you see your favorite zoners staring in?

I'd like to produce one called That's Our Six'r about a guy in Vermont who has a comically adversarial relationship with a group of lovable young scamps who constantly trick him into shenanigans, only to teach him valuable lessons about life, love, and how to use the internet.

A less likable Bob Newhart?

Three's Company staring Jughead as the swinging chef and with MikeW as the brunette roommate, and Tiff as the blonde.

Who Let The Dogs Out?

Staring Disco Stu and H.I.M.

M*I*S*H

Join Captain Bekim and the wild and crazy FTC crew, tossing the loveable Captain Hikingman into La Chache de Poudre yet again. Oh look, Sgt. Gunner is beating in Major Olson's A/C unit with a baseball bat...haha!!

Slacker

I'd watch that show, Ned.

Leave it to Hoover...

With Thom as Mr Furley

It sucks, Ned. Nobody wants to party the day after Christmas.

Not really a Sitcom, but follow me here:

There Was a Tree- this is a historical drama set against the tumultuous backdrop of 1960's America. A group of Baby Boomer zoners drop out of society and form a commune on a patch of pastoral land in Northern California. On the land, they discover a magical tree with leaves made of acid, and plump buds adorning its hetty branches.

The Boomers come to regard the tree as a God; and the tree promises to solve the all world's problems and bring everlasting peace and tranquility if the zoners follow a strict code of non action.

No spoliers, but the tree eventually dies because of Climate Change.

Snark gotta snark.

Jeff Duke said he's gonna start working on the great american novel aboutfound porn in the woods.

Basically Stand By Me but instead of finding a body they find porn.  Also with more a jacking off than in Stand By Me.

Thats really funny, Tim.

Ive been trying to convince a filmmaker buddy of that exact same concept.....the woods porn movie done in a Stand By Me coming of age vehicle.

There's a lot of creativity blooming in this thread.

Namaste, my friends.

>>>>Snark gotta snark.

Is that based on an existing Sitcom or is it an original idea?

Pretty sure Snark Gotta Snark was a gritty crime drama about embatttled NYPD investigator Detective Snark; which ran for one season on NBC in the late 80's.

That was it! You saw it too?

I think it was all of the breaking into song that killed it.

the ballad of fat donna would make an excellent fantasy epic a la game of thrones.

st mark, has the ballad of fat donna been lost forever to the ages? i managed to find the totally true story of deadco on imgur but tbh i prefered the criminally underrated ballad of fat donna. if you still have the photos and captions id like to put in the work and preserve it forever on imgur.

I think the Fat Donna meme was lost in whatever digital housecleaning Bret did over on the old site, sadly.

I definitely appreciate your love for Fat Donna, Daylight. I agree it was much stronger work than the DeadCo stuff.
