Well it's a relief to finally have the left concerned about government spending.

Why pay for people no longer in office? 

It's a fucking mess.

And just for those that are still pretending -- it was never about the lesser of two evils.

Both "sides" bark the loudest about spending and deficits only when their team is on the outs. Same old story.

It is a bit unsettling that tax dollars are being used to  provide protection and security for tRump's uninvolved adult sons as they expand his plastic empire....after repeatedly saying the would strictly focus on domestic expansion, as if that matters much.

I think former presidents are provided lifetime protection for the threat of kidnapping based on what they do know and have been exposed to while in office but in the end we do provide an unnecessarily outsized near rockstar-ish lifestyle for them and members of congress too.

Yep - it's fine and dandy to burn cash on conservative issues like building up an already bloated and wasteful "defense" department but the horrors on spending a few, relatively small bucks on ensuring clean air & water or helping provide the underclass with some boost of assistance.

For example, abortion is legal nationwide and Planned Parenthood helps women gain access to that and other associated health care but GOP continually hacks around those edges. Why can't Sessions et al fight "to change that law" instead of this shitty tactic while ignoring facts on Cannabis and voter approved (state) laws. In full reality, it is not difficult to see and find how alcohol can and does have disastrous affects. That entire history as well as the reasons for and structure of Cannabis prohibition make no real sense. Basically MONEY AND CONTROL, as ever.

...But I digress.

Should be a bit entertaining anyway, especially in light of his pandering at CPAC last week. He will probably double down on his newfound far/alt-right positions which I think will ultimately be rejected by 2020. 

Yep spend and borrow Republicans back in charge. Tax cuts will never equal the unpopular spending cuts that would be needed to pay for them. Republicans are like the bad parents of the children after the divorce.

I think he would be wise to make an attempt to show some tract towards the center but he is not wise. After all, "it is working - I am popular - people love me - I won!"

Yes, we should talk about spending issues concerning the government. However, is this really a significant topic? No, it's not, nor was it when Obama was president, so why talk about it? Is the left now going to behave like the juvenile right that complained about the Obama's vacation bills? sounds pretty immature to me.

I will say that optically it looked bad when Michelle and the girls were traveling around the world while average Americans were still reeling from the financial crisis of 2008.

The much larger issue that no one seems to want to discuss is the looming financial crisis we are confronting. This country is in the hole to the tune of 20 trillion, and deficits are projected to add another 10 trillion over the next 10 years. This is unsustainable, and will either bring this country to economic ruin, or will result in war. 

Will there be a debt jubilee and revaluation of our currency? Will the US be forced to continue its imperialistic ways in order to bring more countries under its central banking ponzi scheme?

Am i worried about son Trump's travel expenses? Not really

I largely agree, Lassen, but my point is not so much the expenditures surrounding his sons but more so 'why' is that happening? The underlying goal of bolstering the military may well be to 'take over the world' (as it always seems to be) - interesting take when the over-riding message appears to be "America First" in a more closed off approach. 

I guess America First after we rob, strong-arm, and enslave the rest of the world through brute force or the real threat of it.
