Looks nice in winter!

My only visit was in August 1992 after Jerry's 50th birthday show with JGB. We had tickets to the GD Oregon and Shoreline shows that were canceled.

We were visiting friends in Berkeley and made the decision to drive to Yosemite during the night.

We woke up in the valley to some amazing scenery!!!!

Spent the night on Half Dome on 8/19/92. Perseid meteor showers were amazing. Wow, what an experience!

It would not have happened but for Jerry succumbing to exhaustion....sad

Very beautiful place. I have yet to see it in person but have seen so many pictures. I have an old book of Greg's of black-and-white pictures called Above Yosemite, all taken from the air.
Thanks for the photos, TH.

Nice pics, Hoover. I like the teeth in the tunnel view shot...

Awesome !

I See   faces in that Waterfall pic to the left. and a Cougar on the right

Used to work at that ice rink.  Been way too long since I was up there.

Sweet photos Hoov.

Beautiful Shots!

But it sure looks cold and slippery out there.

Thanks for sharing.

passed thru there in 85.

thanks for posting and motivating me to dust off a photo album.

We went there last year- jaw-dropping beauty everywhere we looked.

Beautiful!

Good thing you have pictures, you can look at them when Trump sells it to Walmart.

My kids have not seen Yosemite Valley yet (we've bypassed it a couple of times for Tuolumne Meadows) and this looks like the perfect year to visit).

My brother used to camp for free in National Forest Land just outside the park.  We may give that a try.

Thanks for sharing the photos (again)

Lots of water.  And the place was pretty empty (that wont last long) except for the worlds greatest rock climber Alex Honnold who we bumped into.

Our next extended trip is to Tuolumne Meadows.

Speaking of, here's me and my dog Tuolumne or Tuolie for short.

Tioga Road

April 20, 2017
Crews are mobilizing equipment to begin plowing the Tioga Road.

(This requires driving heavy equipment around a long detour

due to the Big Oak Flat Road closure.)

Glacier Point Road

April 20, 2017
Crews have plowed to Glacier Point and are now widening

out the road and parking lots, and removing hazard trees

along the road. The parking lot and point area have about

six to eight feet of snow.

<<<Took the family up yesterday for ice skating in the shadows of Half Dome,

We spent Thanksgiving 1987 up at Yosemite, skated at that same outdoor rink.  Pretty stunning stuff.

Fuckin' awesome, thank you, Mr. Hoover! Have not been there in 10 years or so. And this year appears to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Decided to get Ansel Adamsey with a few

Thanks for the pictures.  I'm heading there next weekend and stoked to see these falls. And get soaked along the Mist Trail.

Awesome photos Hoovs!  Makes me homesick.    Damn. I need to get up there.

Very nice shots man.

Is it too late to plan a trip there for September? Any recommendations? Camping is not an option.

Beautiful pics.

I see 1980 Jerry in the rock face above the waterfall in the second picture in the 12:14pm post.

Nice pics TH.
