Oh yeah bring it on. Boston's played great most of the season. I wonder which Yankee team will show up,, the only consistent thing about em this year is their inconsistency. Cole beat covid but ain't been his usual overpowering self since that recent hamstring pull. Yanks bullpen is scary and not in good way. NY's remaining games --  Sox, Blue Jays, Rays, fuck,, yanks need a wing and a prayer to make the playoffs.

Attended a 4pm wedding yesterday, got sat at a table with Uncle Chico, a season ticket holder. Guy was wearing yankee cufflinks a yankee tie and an 09 WS ring. Had pictures on his cell of himself with all the team members from some special season ticket holder event. A genuine super fan and a super guy. Needless to say he was glued to his cell all nite keeping me updated of anything happening, even when me and the wife were cuttin a rug on the dancefloor (bunny hop, electric slide). Took a long time to get to that 8th inning but damn was it worth it. A Spanish wedding, my ears are still ringing from the constant latin beat that was the same for every mutherfucking song played,, it was rough, my ears are still ringing. I went up and requested the Santana song Smooth, but the DJ just stared at me like I was speaking English.15 different varieties of meat, mostly pork, one rice concoction, and one tin of salad greens that nobody went near cept me and my wife. Only other edible was plantains. 1st time trying them so they were the best mashed plantains ever.

Let's go get another one at Fenway tonight. 

NY Giants just lost again, no surprise there. Gonna be another loooooong season.

Red Sox appear to be in full-on choke mode.

Toronto is 1 back, Seattle is 2 back, and the A's, after sweeping the Astros, are 3 back, with 6 games to play.

This could get interesting.

Sox got it easy this week while NY has some heavy lifting to do. Lets see what they're both made of.

Wow what a horrible weekend of sports for a Red Sox, Patriots, Niners, fan. Oh well Red Sox next six are Orioles and Nationals and Yankees have Blue Jays and Rays so there is still a good chance, but don't see the Red Sox going deep this year even if they do make it. 

Wild card this year is 3 games all home games for the leader. What sucks is the next round is only 5 games. Baseball is such a radically different game in the playoffs compared to the regular season. 

Hopefully the SF Giants can pull it off in an odd year. 

80 years ago today the Splendid Splinter finished the season with a .406 batting average,, the last time anyone batted over .400,, my dads favorite hitter.

All tied up for the 1st wild card spot. Who's gonna have to play a one game playoff just to see who makes the WC game ? We could have 2 one game playoffs. 4 AL teams could conceivably be tied at the end of play tomorrow.  Never seen this many teams still breathing for the last game of the season. Crazzzzzzy, a fans dream, with lots of uneasy sleep tonight. 

I'm still trying to figure out why the Yankees were in Boston playing the Oakland A's.

Make that 3 - WTF time to go to the pen, Cole ain't got it tonight,,, ain't had it since his hamstring injury a few weeks ago. Going with a sub par starter is never a good decision especially in a 1 n done.
