The Trees Are Bare Outside My Window and 30 Or So HUGE Black Crowes Decided To Park It On The Sycamore Branches These Birds Are GIANT And Only Show Up During Winter !
Klondo i Will Gets Pics and get someone to help me Send or Upload - these Big Birds Are Always Around In January i have Seen them every year for 10 years i have Parked it here Winter.
Ive seen them here as well....had quite the gathering across street from my house the other day...had to be almost 50 in cpl trees.....every freakin branch...very cool
Fyi...crowes are much more prone to gather in larger numbers, while Ravens, (the bigger of the two), usually travels in pairs...but, that doesnt mean you wont see a large grouping of pairs...its just usually crowes when you see the numbers we're talking about here, especially just hanging in trees etc
In the fall, the crows drop walnuts from the neighbors trees onto the road / sidewalk, break them open... sounds like a hail storm come October every year, lol.
The weirdest murder of crows I saw, was in the parking lot of Ray's Market in Waldport Oregon (right on the coast). There was a strange witchy looking lady in a small pickup with about 20 crows on the roof and bed of the truck... there were NO crows anywhere else.
