Worms wiggle on the sidewalk early in the morning and if they get caught with the sun too high they will shrivel up and die.
When I walk my Weiner dog he likes to eat the dried and dead worms. I tell him not to and that if he eats too many he will get sick. He does not listen to me. When he eats too many he gets the shits. His name is Mr. Charlie.
We just got a batch of new mason bees cocoons and put them out in a little bee house in the yard. We had them last year too, but it was hard to determine which ones we introduced and which ones were just naturally occurring, but with all the problems bees have been having lately, doesn't hurt to replenish the natural stock.
As for worms, haven't brought in any but I am always finding them while gardening. The chickens love to dig for them too out in the yard and when one of them finds one, it will often run around with it in its mouth taunting the other chickens to chase her and try to catch it.
