Borscht -

Made this yesterday for having tonight. I tried a taste, really really good. I used half water for the liquid and no dill cuz I didn't have any, still really really good.

That looks good and will probably be even better after sitting in the fridge overnight too. I like a similar whole chicken-based Guatemalan recipe with potatoes, beets, vinegar, and a little coffee or coke as well. Savory & Tangy!

I don't understand why more people don't like the Borscht.

Of course, I had an aversion to it growing up, but it was served cold and with sour cream. 

Much more appealing served warm, IMO.

My Borscht recipe is  a cabbage/beet/onion/carrot soup in a light veggie broth. 

 

I eat almost anything except for beets and pineapples

Little secret, 

sometimes I grate a small beet into my pinto beans. This would be from dried beans so by the time they are done there is no sign of the beet but the pintos are pintado.

No spot taken.

I have not eaten the cooked beet, but I love them on salad cut shoestring style. I also have powdered beets that I put in my smoothies, good for blood flow
