And Tal Wilkenfeld sat in for a couple of Robert Z. tunes.

Strange, different, if somewhat brief, night of music. Nice to see Bobby, as always. He seemed to be enjoying the stripped down sound, commenting in set 1 that it was “easier to convince two guys” if he decided to change directions on-stage.

Thank heavens he ditched the cowboy hat.

And they were only one bass short of being able to play "Big Bottom"!

That's an interesting comment by Bobby; I've always considered him the "Kevin Bacon" (as in 6 degrees) of the Grateful Dead; simply by virtue of his instrumental role having the closest relationship to all others on stage; in addition to being able to occupy said role in real time, while all parts are moving.   Likewise, I can't help but wonder if this configuration is a "response" to being more penned in by D&C, yet not wanting to go full solo either?

I know there are others who make similar chakra designs, but have a bunch like Jay's and can't help but wonder if same person / place (check out Dyes in Motion on FB)?

Oh, and I liked the "slow poke" version of Sunshine Superman ...

Is Tal a Mountain Driver?

She’s from Australia, Slax.

Love Tal....

Check youtube for some of her work with Jeff Beck...

Anyone have audio/video of the Watchtower and Baby Blue?

The best musician in that pic is a woman.

Is there a pot you've encountered that you haven't stirred?

Bobby should just stand on stage while a GD show plays in the back round.  I'm pretty sure the same people would still pay to go.

She created a PledgeMusic page seeking help funding her debut solo album. The album has had its announced release date postponed multiple times with the most recent missed release date as July 6, 2018.[19]

I agree with Thom!

I can't imagine Don Was is crazy about Jay Lane's attire. He might be having second thoughts.

Strangely enough, every time I looked at Don, it was as if he was a skeleton dressed in clothing; wearing sunglasses.
