Melvin Seals and JGB Unveil A Very Jerry Christmas

Today, Melvin Seals and JGB shared they’ll bring their annual Christmas celebration, A Very Jerry Christmas, to the Foothill Fillmore at The Auburn Odd Fellows Lodge in Auburn, Calif., on Dec. 16 and 17.

The event, presented by keep smilin’ promotions, will mark the gathering’s 10th iteration. In the past, the gathering saw Seals and JGB – currently comprised of Lady Chi, Mary-eL, Jeremy Hoenig, John Kadlecik and John-Paul McLean – perform charming covers ranging from Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” to Jerry Garcia’s “Deal” and “Peter Rowan’s “Midnight Moonlight” to Van Morrison’s “And It Stoned Me.”

“We’re excited to return to California’s Historic Foothill Fillmore located at the Auburn Odd Fellows Lodge for our 10th annual “A Very Jerry Christmas” celebration! ,” the band shared in a post on Instagram. “Catch this very special two-night holiday run December 16th & 17th and ring in the holidays with us.”

Tickets are now on sale and, like in previous years, will likely sell out early.

Railroad Earth to Perform Old & In the Way with Peter Rowan During New Year’s Eve Run in Chicago

Railroad Earth have plotted its New Year’s Eve plans for the impending holiday season. The group shared that they will perform a two-night run on Dec. 30 and 31 at The Vic Theatre in Chicago, IIl., alongside their guest, Peter Rowan.

On the ensemble’s official Instagram page, they unveiled that their first night at The Vic Theatre will start off with Rowan sitting in for a run-through of some of his Old & In the Way material. Then, the billed band will continue with two sets of original numbers to cap off their first night in the Windy City.

After night one at The Vic, the band will remain in Chicago on Dec. 31 for their final stand of the year, where they will once again be joined by Rowan, who will support the celebrated New Jersey quintet during their highly anticipated concert.

Tickets for both nights of Railroad Earth’s New Year’s Eve stand with Peter Rowan are on sale now and can be purchased here. https://railroad.earth/tour/

So, does Melvin have "Jerryettes" in his band again?

Because I like his band so much more when he does.

Oh, and not to ignore this thread's good intent....

The great & glorious X is playing winter holiday shows in SF (and a few other towns) at the great & glorious Great American Music Hall in December, also celebrating that 95-year-old venue's 50th anniversary as The Great American Music Hall.
