Why do we listen to '80s Grateful Dead?

Forums:

A few hundred early '70s shows aren't enough?

I like the regularity of the song placement, drums/space and Brent after his first few years.

I prefer a shower over a bath.

I like Brent.

I love Brent.

I prefer a pool to a lake

I love Jerry.

For me it's the time when I was introduced to seeing then in concert, in 1982, and I developed my "live ear" to appreciate that sound and texture of the music, plus seeing all the amazing goings on and experiencing a level of joy that I had never experienced before made me want to repeat "getting in my happy bubble" over and over. To this day I still go there to my place and am taken away to better times. A haven if you may. It will be with me till I die.

Because I love 80s Dead.

Listen?  I only went cuz they were so handsome.

Because by the 80s it was cougar town.

Your first shows are your best shows

Because our ex threw out all our 70s GD and the archive is down.

Because for every "classic" like 10/12/84, there's the night before which sizzles and drips just as much...

The standard/designer drug experiments were really fun in the 80's.
