As a resident of a city with a large population of Chinese people I can confirm this is totally true. I actually had a hilarious discussion with an Asian buddy some years ago about this, he talked about what a terrible driver his mom was
Otherwise they are delightful people, although some old ladies might push you out of the way to get on the 30 bus

Its generally ok to make fun of Euro-Americans because they have, by and large, historically enjoyed a higher level of privilege and power so joshing around about their cultural peculiarities it is not as hurtful. The same is not true with historically disadvantaged populations. Take your example of "black people have a proclivity toward fried foods." It's true that culturally, black and other Southern culinary traditions do feature a lot of fried food. But you also have to take into consideration that fried chicken has also gone hand and hand with some painful and insulting caricatures of black people. Recall the scene in "Birth of a Nation" where the newly elected black legislators (many portrayed by white actors in blackface) are shown slovenly drinking liquor and feasting on fried chicken in the statehouse. That hurtful stereotype is why its not cool for white folks to make fun of the black culture.

What are the characteristics of a bad driver?
Based on car insurance rates, I've always assumed that young males are the worst drivers; however, I was never in an accident or issued a violation.
Btw: as a more mature driver, I do feel that most reckless and unpredictable drivers around me seem to be young adult males.

I work in an area that is
I work in an area that is populated with many well-educated Asians, and many are terrible drivers.
But then that same area is also populated with many wealthy white men in Tesla's, and they're terrible drivers as well.
And I work at a high school and usually park in the student lot. Many of those teens are also terrible drivers.
Ultimately I think almost everyone these days is a terrible driver.

I’d much rather share the
I’d much rather share the road with overly cautious, slow drivers than aggressive drivers who tailgate, speed and cut you off.
Please, just don’t back into the parking space at Trader Joe’s and take an hour doing so.
The stereotypes for Asian drivers might hold true for people who didn’t grow up driving cars, or emigrated recently from places like China where consequences for violating traffic laws are severe, and they’re constantly being monitored. Imagine if those red light cameras were on every fucking street corner how it might effect the way you drive.
the worst drivers I’ve encountered are the old white retirees in Florida and the drunks in Las Vegas. Or just drunk drivers anywhere. And Boston drivers, my younger sister who lives there included.
