I haven't been to the Verizon
I haven't been to the Verizon/MCI/Capital One Center in eons, but when The Other Ones played there in fall 2002, no one could get away with smoking a cigarette. The shows a few days later at the Spectrum were a different story. The haze was as thick as it was in the late '70s / early '80s.
The new venue in DC, The Anthem, was pretty smoke-free when I recently saw Dylan and Phil there (separate shows, of course). It does have some sort of outside smoking area, but I have no idea what goes on there.

Annapolis is pretty cool, we used to go there when they had the record shows, know what I'm talking about? Got some good, fairly rare vinyl there. We would stop at the mall, eat lunch at the top where you can look out, good times! Route 50 also goes through Winchester!

a cousin in Stephens City. I used to get out that way to a great bluegrass festival. I know exactly what you mean about the record show.
Been there many a time myself. Picked up a tape of the Grateful Dead at Woodstock there.
