The dispensary weed is so dry here the med producers should be arrested. Supposedly a big producer had a mold scare and everyone went to the opposite extreme. That part sucks.

Dispensaries opening like crazy (we're about one year in), corruption, big out-of-state companies buying multiple licenses and competition is lowering prices...it's fuckin great!

State regulators are investigating allegations that a politically connected medical marijuana grower in Maryland illegally used pesticides in growing cannabis plants that were later harvested for sale to patients....McDonald described a crop that was infected with powdery mildew from the beginning and later was infested with spider mites and other pests. He said he was instructed by supervisors beginning in June 2017 to spray or douse the plants with a variety of pesticides and other chemicals.

MacDonald said that in February he was ordered by a supervisor not to talk to the compliance officer about “anything to do with the cultivation process” or issues concerning pesticides, according to his sworn affidavit. But in April, MacDonald said, he became “tired of lying” and he and Evan Norris brought their concerns to the compliance chief, whose job was to see the company followed commission rules.

Revenue from the sales of medical marijuana in Maryland is expected to hit $100 million in 2018, double what some forecasted for the first year of the state’s program.

Data from the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission shows that from December 2017 — when dispensaries first opened their doors — through to the end of September 2018, there have been $68.7 million worth of sales of medical marijuana products across the state. Sales in August and September exceeded $10 million per month, and if that trend holds through the remaining months of the year, overall sales in Maryland will top $100 million....As of November 5, there were 70,356 registered medical marijuana patients in Maryland, and roughly 70 licensed dispensaries.

& Utah will NEVER legalize

or have a state lottery  --- NEVAH !

I wish these NJ politicians would get their heads outta there asses & work on a compromise for the recreational legalization I keep hearing about. They've finally got the medical in a much better place than when it first began. Seems like the biggest sticking point is the rate at which to tax it, which for NJ is no surprise. Apparently Governor Murphy wants a much higher rate than the Senate & Assembly. Their concern is that it will just encourage people to stay with the illegal market, which makes sense.
