What's the deal with Need Lagin

Forums:

I just found out about this guy. Perhaps I've heard him on a show I was streaming and assumed I was listening to Space. Did you see him perform with the Dead in 74? What was it like? The couple minutes I spent looking into him sure didn't sound like music. Am I missing something?

*Ned

Zoner from Colorado.  Likes to snub.

There is an album called "Seastones"  and in 1974 Phil & Ned did a bunch of "Set 1.5" Seastones jams between the usual GD set I & II.  I think the Jai-Alai Fronton 6/23/74 was the first one.  10/20/74 Winterland was last 'Phil & Ned' and last Wall Of Sound show.

The above site has some audio clips.

I think the spiritcat one is Ned L's official website?

plf hates when he needs to login also.

thanks for the link Mr.  Burnz.

I'd never heard of Ned sitting in on piano / organ,  albeit not plugged into SBD.

I saw him- in 74- @ Winterland. (October)

He and Phil did their little electronic thing before the second sets- somewhat unremarkable to me , anyway.

During the hiatus in 75 - word was on the street one day that Garcia/ Phil and Ned were playing for free late one afternoon in a small/ darkened  school auditorium in San Rafael next to 101.

We dropped by and checked it out for a while- it was dark....and weird. David Crosby was also supposed to have been up there- but it was so dark you couldn't really  tell.
