What is yout singular most favorite dead song that you saw live?

Forums:

Where?

when?

why?

- ok what did it feel like and what were your emotions?  Describe..  Be poetic or not....

Well, what comes immediately to mind is...

Morning Dew, Greek Theatre 9/11/81.

Why? What did it feel like? What were my emotions?

In this particular case mere words can't convey those answers.

It's all too much, for me to say.

lol. Listening to dew right now

btw you love words.  So lack of words is powerful

that weird bass riff Phil drops into before Kesey walks out to say a few words about Uncle Bob's passing stands out

but the whole run of shows had let up to that point so I'm not sure it fits your criteria

The Dew in Augusta, Maine in the Fall of 1984 was something to behold, but I think the Ship of Fools from the earthquake show in Hartford from the spring of 1982 might be the single most favorite dead song I saw live. I'm still trying to unravel the hallucinations from that one. And then there's the Saint Stephen from Hartford in 1983 too. Too many to choose from.

Terrapin, 3/24/87, Hampton.

Jerry doing windmills and knee drops, the arena erupted and may have actually left the ground. As a whole, the entire Set II May have been the best I ever saw. There were no breakouts, and it wasn't some special song order, but fuck, they nailed it!

The first time I heard Help On The Way was pretty fucking awesome.

The best? Hard to say.

Watkins Glen sound check jam brought me ro the white light. Only other thing that ever took me there was 1000 mics.
