An amazing woman, a light in this world. And just 17 days before turning 100, when America was ready to celebrate this treasure of a human. We were so lucky to have her.
Somehow, it's gonna be hard to celebrate anything tonight after hearing this. Fuck you, 2021. One last shot of pain. But she'd want us to move on with joy in our hearts.
White’s agent and close friend Jeff Witjas confirmed her death to People. “Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever,” Witjas said in a statement to People. “I will miss her terribly and so will the animal world that she loved so much. I don’t think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband Allen Ludden. She believed she would be with him again.”

I'm a fan of the iconic,
I'm a fan of the iconic, funny, witty, awesome Betty White. We were lucky to have her entertain us. They really broke the mold with her. I'll miss her charisma, and a whole lot more.
However, it is not a tragedy when a 99 year old person dies of natural causes, which I am assuming is the case. So, unless 99 year old Betty White got murdered, died in a car accident, a house fire or some other violent premature demise, her death is no occasion for "woe is me" or "what else can go wrong" style sadness, nor anything symbolic about how bad 2021 may have sucked, or an indication of any other pessimistic shit.
Betty Fucking White! She lived to 99. Impressive. good shit. Celebrating life > mourning death.
