COVID-19 is making a run for the border, with worms eating it's intestines.

PLF / Rob -- I'm glad that your dmv visit was Hassle-Free and heck,  now you're all legal for another time period.

I actually had spaced on renewing the reg. for Chevrolet Truck,  but managed to do that over internet portal.

Even though I was late,  the machinery mailed me a new document.  That came in handy when some random person wrecked my truck.

They were all at Costco. 11 am today.  10 mins to shop, 35 to check out. I took this shot at about the halfway point if the line, but got everything on my list which has expanded greatly since yesterday. I had been all set for a 5- 6 week quarantine. Now I'm all set for 5 - 6 months. Lots more dried and canned beans, chicken n beef broth,  butter, rice, fresh carrots and potatoes, lots of fresh chicken and burger, industrial size jug of antacids.  Had to fire up the chest freezer in the basement for all of it, haven't used it since the kids were young. Still works great. Pretty much set now, as long as I didn't get stung by the bug while in line - cart distance is about 6 feet.

Stop hoarding

selfish and a self fulfilling prophecy

In the 60s a lot of people built bomb shelters in their back yards

what is your plan?

Hey by all means feel free to live as you will,  but I'm a 3 person household and we greatly enjoy not being hungry. Nothing I secured is in short supply.  I'm not sure what's happening where you live lltd me darlin', but my rural town is one step away from mandatory shelter in place. We're ready

Something I've learned from this whole ordeal, you can freeze cheese. Looking at the big blocks of kerrygold in Costco I just blurted out to nobody in particular but there were lots of people around, 'hey, can ya freeze cheese?'  I hate wasting food and we can barely finish 1 block by the time it's going bad.  A couple sweet older ladies assured me you can freeze it up to 3 months, I had no idea.  So I got a block of cheddar and one of the dubliner. Right in the freezer. Who knew

DMV really just processes Vehicle documents and such.  Nothing about bomb shelters or Frozen Cheese.

How it works...  you bring a bunch of papers in,  pay DMV some cash,  and get a new certificate / document for your car,  truck,  bus or trailer.

Would be nice if they put up the Frozen Cheese stand,  or Taco Truck.  So far I have not seen those.

I often freeze cheese. I get a 2 lb. block, freeze half. It may get a little bit dry or crumbly, but not a big deal.
