This weekend! Zero @ Mystic-Petaluma Oct 23 and 24

Forums:

Looking forward to this weekend!
Who's going?   I'll be there for show 1.

I was hoping not to have to do the 90-minute drive home post-show, but the only available AirBnB room I found (only 3 blocks away from theater, tho!) totals out at over $200 and they only allow 1 person, sheesh!  Even nearby Hipcamp.com sites are charging around $150 for a tent site!

If anyone has crash space, I'll have my camp gear in car!

Mark D and I are going on Sunday the 24th

If I can get the boat fired up. Probably going to need one.

Setbreak!  Im absolutely beaming w/ happiness at this show.

hoping to find a ticket and return tomorrow.

I am sure the music was good. Probably the best Zero lineup  ever.

But after the show how was the rain/traffic?

Hey Crabneesh!
It was supposed to take me 90 minutes to get home, but I took it slow and easy.... traffic was light but there was high water in spots and I didn't want to hydroplane.

The show was not oversold, either.

Was surprised to see Pliny on tap at the stage bar and everyone there was in great spirits... easy to flow to the front of the floor and back as one liked.

Band lineup was meshing at a high level and I felt like I was at a jazz performance.

Hadn't danced to live Kimock in a very long while.

Would love to return for night 2, but don't want to drive in the storm again round-trip.

Hmmm, how much is an Uber to Petaluma??   LOL

I am glad you made it home safe.

Setlist?

Man I could use a Zero show -- they rescheduled and then canceled the Eastern dates. I'm so jealous of / so happy for you two -- sounds like nothing was better than something again last night in Petaluma! What were some musical highlights?

>Probably the best Zero lineup  ever.<

That's post show glow talkin, cause that's just plain silly.

Chip's original QMS rig, right on!

What's that? ^^^

Martin Fierro's daughter sang on 1 tune...

Haven't found set list yet but there was 1 taper there... so hopefully it will show up on LMA soon.

Taper Andy from El Cerrito (ex-colleague at City of Portland!) will be at tonight's show.

Cippolina's setup, Bss?

Yes, correct. On display at the RRHOF.

OOPS!! ^^^ double set lists today...

Thanks!

Searching for an upload from last night I was pleasantly surprised to run across this "newly released" vid from the early Hunter-tune Judge Murphy era:

We are going to brave the drive for tonight's show. At least as of now.......

Great set list from last night!

4144D9DD-C173-4573-9FCA-1C77736C0D1C.jpegYou won't be sorry MarkD but give yourself lots of extra time to get there and choose a route w/o tall trees (ha!).

Tickets still available on website and there are some on cashortrade.org  ....... monitoring the roads before I make a decision.... City of SF Twitter accounts are saying that there is flooding at 19th and Lincoln and evacs happening on certain blocks due to downed trees.... 19th is my route to GG bridge from 280N.... so going to research conditions on other routes...

Be safe, everybody! Music sounds and feels better when your way home is safe.

Flash flood warnings and blackouts county-wide, folks.

Curious, did anyone handle the Judge vocals?

Be safe...

I LOVE Pete Sears (of course!), but I'm wondering what Bobby Vega's been up to.  He's one that I hope to catch again in the near future...

Have (safe) fun!

^^^^  Thanks all!    Right now Google Nav says east bay route is best due to mess in SF.
Hotel prices in Petaluma just dropped drastically, so going to stay up there if this all works out.

You folks are brave.

The storm is just moving into Santa Clara Valley now, and at the moment I'm not planning on driving the 15 minutes across town to Levi's Stadium for the 49ers game tonight.

Good luck everybody!

Somebody ask the band (Pete, preferably) if the rumors of NYE dates  (GAMH?) are true...

^^^ Was thinking of that earlier, Walstib!

i'm all packed and ready to head north but having second thoughts.... just heard that taper buddy made it over the San Rafael bridge just fine and they are already in line at the theater....

Not going, wahh.

A housemate just sent me a Twitter image of the high water on 280 w/ cars stranded.... bummer!

Somebody hook us up with an Atmospheric Stream of tonite's show...

^^*for real!
I'll ask the taper

Taper buddy said "I'll see what I can do."

Standby.

This brings tears to my eyes.

I also enjoyed Studio E.

Lucky,  bastids, from those of us that are envious.

yes

Who is singing the Judge Murphy parts?  Anyone?

uninspired set to my ears...

YMMV

^^^Agree

Dise, Spencer Burrows (Sebastopol) is on vocals.   https://www.thegreatburrostudios.com/

Hello all,

Just joining in and may keep this in my ears while I head to bed (comfy, dry, and warm).

This part sounds pretty good...

^^^ agreed... beginning of the 2nd set sounded really good... jazzy & jammy

Mark D and I decided to give up our tickets due to concerns about driving long-distance to the show during this major storm... so glad there is a Mixlr stream with decent audio!

Mercury Blues was high-energy and HOT

instrumental Stella Blues... wish Pete was singin' it like he used to w/ DNB

Sounds pretty damn good to me.
