Vibes For Lily!

Surgery "went well" but she was in recovery for nine hours until the feeling came back to both sets of toes.  Which probably pushed her discharge back another day.  They usually get folks on their feet the same day.

Any Zoners have this procedure done?  One description we've heard is "For three weeks you wanna die.  Then it's the best thing ever."

Doc is getting a name as the go-to ACL guy among NFL mutants, I'm told.  But they didn't have his book under glass yet, like the shoulder guys many baseball fans would be familiar with.

BTW, "went well" seems to be the agreed-upon descriptive phrase with regard to every surgery they do, going by the parade of dudes (mostly) in scrubs who came thru the family waiting (and waiting...and waiting) area.

I got nine (ish) hours of sleep after being up for 36.  Feel like I'm walking through Jell-o.

Heading back to the bone shop before work.  Later.

Feel better, Lily

Sutures come out tomorrow.yes

The pain has been brutal, but she's kicking ass with PT, and has gotten out of the house (26 steps to the street) 4 times for dinner/lunch/veggie shopping.

Thanks for bringing this thread up to the top. I meant to post when Lily first had her surgery. What you've heard is what I've heard: it will get better with diligent PT and time. And when it's better, for most people it's really better! I don't know what kind of lily Lily aligns herself with, but this one is pretty swell.
