Way To Go Republicans

Forums:

A GOP activist is hosting an "operation incinerator" event tonight in Grand Rapids, encouraging folks to burn their absentee ballot *applications* in apparent protest of SOS Benson's move to mail them to all. There will apparently be a "Dumpster of Liberty Lighting Ceremony."

voter suppression?

They get upset about the silliest things.

they enjoy burning things.

What the kids who burned their Beatles albums grew up to be

i wonder what their fathers and grandfathers burned?

^i wonder what their fathers and grandfathers burned?

Crosses

Bingo

If burning their own vote by mail applications ends up making it more difficult for them to vote come November, more power to them.

Rumor has it that David Byrne visited Grand Rapids a week B4 helping to write Burning Down the House.

There is little to show that these two alleged facts are either true or interrelated.

Will they have marshmallows & sticks available the night of the bonfires?

A GOP activist thinks this is a good idea? You sure? Might be an infiltrator. Go pubs. Burn. Burn. Burn. Is there an positive effect for themselves taking this action? I'm confused. The solution is to not vote?

In other GOP news, the RNC events have been moved to Jacksonville, Fla.  Probably one of the few big cities in the South with a Republican mayor.  Town is pretty conservative and wonder if JAX homies Lynyrd Skynyrd will play the RNC.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see what happens when people come from far and wide to protest the event.

It's also scheduled for the peak of hurricane season.

Don't forget to sign the liability waiver if you want to get in.

Translation: Believe me, there is NOT a serious COVID problem in our country, but just in case you get the illness I'm telling you not to worry about and end up in the hospital or dying, please sign this waiver so it doesn't cost me any money.

     ...Slick,

Could you give us a couple paragraphs on the American Revolution?

     Thanks.

Oh sure. You bet. Strange request. Can you give us a couple of paragraphs on what it's like when folks forget to take their meds?

I had a friend get killed by his grandson in January when the grandson went med free for four days. So please be careful, Bry.

Are you talkin' about the revolution hundreds of years ago, or the one that's happening now? Since you obviously don't retain words, I'll just show you a picture instead.

Meanwhile our POTUS has bowed to pressure late Friday night and announced that he would delay his upcoming campaign rally in Tulsa, Okla.

“We had previously scheduled our #MAGA Rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for June 19th — a big deal.  Unfortunately, however, this would fall on the Juneteenth Holiday. Many of my African American friends and supporters have reached out to suggest that we consider changing the date out of respect for this Holiday, and in observance of this important occasion and all that it represents. I have therefore decided to move our rally to Saturday, June 20th, in order to honor their requests.”

He also bragged about what a wonderful job he is doing for African Americans.   "I think I’ve done more for the black community than any other president. And let’s take a pass on Abraham Lincoln, because he did good, although it’s always questionable, you know, in other words, the end result.”

It was unclear what Trump was referring to when he meant “end result,” Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner’s responded, “Well, we are free, Mr. President. He did pretty well."

>>>Town is pretty conservative and wonder if JAX homies Lynyrd Skynyrd will play the RNC.<<<

doubtful. Rickey Medlocke is full blooded American Indian. I really can’t see him playing a concert for trump.

Although stranger things have happened

Just another example of creating a problem so he alone can fix it.

do you have a safe word

can you ever be honest

never "break ranks" at any and all cost

Bryen is too far out there to ask

your loyalty is "admirable ". And you potentially could  be intelligent

Ras. Ty

that video was so on point

One time my boss gave me a SafeWord it was "Geronimo "

As I may have been perceived to have a habit of telling the truth or shedding light on facts that may have been counter to  some of the managements direction or "stories"

I'm not sure if I'm proud of the fact that he never had to use the word Geronimo

But looking back,  it does humor me, And it was an effective psychological technique to increase my awareness for political sensitivity

This was the same boss that warned me before I interviewed an extremely intelligent extremely sophisticated and extremely well educated Indian gentleman. To not be too "hippie " I guess

top of his class at the top IIT campus, world traveled And possibly the smartest person I've ever met

Sat down across my desk near the beginning of the interview and he saw a picture of Jerry Garcia and some Grateful Dead paraphernalia like a further cookie jar

He then told me he was a huge dead head and had every single grateful dead concert on CD

We got along really well, however some interaction with another Indian employee of mine presented a hint of the caste system

he knows more about works geography and American history than anyone els o have ever met
