Washburn Fire in Yosemite

Forums:

Made the trek after the Greek shows in '81 & '89, returned in '02.  Some of the best days of my life in that park.

It's a real shame. I just got home from Mammoth. Took 89 to 50 home. The smoke on '89 was thick and its the first time I've been near Tahoe since last year's fires. Tge damage aas depressing to see.

Also, I saw this headline in the SF Chronicle -- will try to post it later:   Washburn Fire causes tree branches to be sucked into sky and pelt airplanes  !!!

Agree, Woz, depression about the environment is common side effect of the impacts of climate change and from major human-caused fires. Take good care.

I'm heading to Phil Tahoe next week and need to study my route to make sure all is good.

I took 50 to S. Lake back in May. The fact that any buildings in Kyburz and Myers are standing is amazing.
