I do know I stored one in my garage. And I do remember giving it to my friend JP who was a bass player that hung with our friends band Osiris that practiced in the mcKernans garage in Palo Alto (Ron's brother Kevin would sing hard to handle Eerily sounding just like the pig) sometimes
I honestly don't remember if Kevin owed me money and or traded it to me but Iknow it was in my possession maybe I just was storing it for JP the dead / Jerry helped out the band a bit They opened for. JGB band in sf once it had twin 15" jbls
john Paul left us a couple of years ago and his daughter contacted another friend that recovered it in Monterrey
This friend has a ton of artifacts from carol m and the family. An amazing museum worth of hand written lyrics and stuff
I also have some pig stuff that I cherish
Including the Buffalo skin coat, a pigpen belt w buckle, a pig painting and tons of handbill postcards some with carols name and the Santa Catalina address on them I am a hoarder and quite a bit nostalgic
"According to my correspondent, Garcia made sure that Kevin McKernan's band Osiris had good equipment, apparently including some PA Cabinets that the Dead were no longer using. Garcia also made sure that Osiris got some gigs with various Dead spinoff bands that were playing around the Bay Area in late 1974. Osiris opened for the Garcia/Saunders group at USF Gym on Halloween, 1974, and they also opened for the Keith And Donna band at the Keystone Berkeley on June 14, 1975."
obviously the GD were flooded with PA gear in late 1974, and no exact future plans. How the WOS eventually all got cannibalized is another story in itself.
I had a feeling those cabinets had some history in them when I started this thread, but I didn't think it would hit so close to home. Thanks LLTD and Bss.

Good call on the ply. Yes, 3/4 13 ply Baltic birch that I sourced from a quality wood supplier nearby. No voids, no buzzes. Clips were found on Ebay from a machinist in Connecticut. I made a 2x12 and a 1x12 (easier to carry).
The 1x12 has an Eminence Commonwealth and the 2x12 has a pair of Weber Californias. Tight, punchy and clean.
