I was in the front row. 15,000 people showed up to legend valley. David Grisman played the next day. Ratdog had improved by leaps and bounds-they had come along way with the addition of lead guitar. We had a fun weekend.
I toured from 1997 to Fall 2001. We loved the Grateful Dead and did whatever tour with surviving members was available. The only times we had to choose was when Phil and Bobby had dueling dates. People made their choices accordingly.
There's that video of a Ratdog show circa 2005 in an outdoor amphitheater where it seems like the person recording is at the top in the back, but when it pans out, he's really sitting in a tree outside the venue.
