Van Morrison at Yoshi's

I attended the opening Van Morrison show at Yoshi's on Monday night and it was phenomenal. Van was in great form, strong voice, great sax and harp playing and he delivered a strong 21 song -100 minute set. No BS with the band warming up for 10 minutes, VtM came out with the band at 8:00pm sharp and played until the end. He was laughing and having a good time while genuinely enjoying his craft. I have seen him dozens of times over the last 40 years and this was one of the best performances I have seen him deliver. The show closing Ballerina was worth the price of admission alone! I also checked out his recent release Three Chords and The Truth which if you are a fan and haven't heard, check it out........I think it's his best album in years.
