All wonderful, but still am going to miss those lazy afternoons by the canal in Beach Park.

So whats the over/under on cancelations.

Also can't imagine what tour insurance is costing these days.

I'm wondering if even the June 4 show will happen.

Why would you wonder about that? At least now it's not a touring band, should be pretty easy to keep it together.

Just because the Bay Area COVID transmission rate is so high, and both Moonalice and Pearl Jam (in CA) recently cancelled or postponed shows because of COVID, and Phil is high risk...

https://www.sfchronicle.com/health/article/COVID-infections-hospitalizat...

I have a stockpile of home antigen kits!

and I'm done buying advanced tickets

> I'm wondering if even the June 4 show will happen.

That thought crossed my mind when Nancy posted about getting covid at a show at the Frost a couple of weeks ago.

Get this, I worked a show on Tuesday at the Frost. Sigur Ros. And today tested positive - again. So either a Paxlovid rebound case or I got another strain on Tuesday. Many of my neighbors are also sick/positive - and they all had Covid in December  are fully vaxxed. These new strains are spreading outdoors and it's no picnic getting sick with the COVID's

would not surprise me at all if Phil cancels, what would suck is if he cancels last minute and the show goes on without him. I mean nothing against Midnight North but that's not why we paid the big bucks.

Time to mask up, kids

Nancy

Is this your take on

  "Time to change your strain"?

Get well!

Yeah, or up your strain

Or if you take the Paxlovid ask for 10 days worth, the 5 day course might not work

Exactly, Nancy - nothing against Midnight North but I would not travel to see them, and many of these cancellations are last minute

Being that the July 4th date in Asbury Park, NJ at the end of a 3 day summer holiday weekend, I suggest to anyone going to that show that you park your car in June.

Being  that the Frost is the first show on the tour, it will probably be fine. But those later shows on the tour are a huge gamble.

It's all gonna get bumpy with the NE & Midwest now teetering towards 'high' transmission rates and it's generally spreading westward. "Upscale" pockets (ie parts of Bay Area, Park City, ritzy LA hoods, etc) are rising quickly as with other past waves too.

Hmm, I got my second booster yesterday, hope that helps! I know a lot of people that got it at Jazz fest and also at Pearl Jam. A few got really sick, others said it was just like a cold.

And today tested positive - again.

Do you feel ill or are you just aware because you test regularly?

I tested again today because I was feeling  fatigued yesterday and originally chalked that up to a long work day on Tuesday, but woke up feeling sick, runny nose and headache returned, and it felt all to familiar. I used 2 antigen tests just to confirm my suspicions.

*my work allows me to test regularly but says NOT to use the PCR tests for 90 days, stick with the at home rapid antigen tests after infection

Nancy,

you should join a clinical trial

I kid, hope you feel better

Connecticut is in high transmission rate now.

The Phil show in Bridgeport on July 1 is the Friday of the long 4th weekend.

You are gonna have to get there early or be stuck in the I-95 traffic jam.

You'll be able to watch the traffic crawl while you're tailgating.

Sorry to hear Nancy, hopefully you get better soon.

Just came across this article today about persistence ...

https://www.nationalgeographic.com/science/article/persisting-coronaviru...

And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, Phil Lesh forever. Amen.

The Bay Area is a cesspool of Covid, identifies new sub-variants BA.4 and BA.5 in sewage..

https://www.mercurynews.com/2022/05/25/omicron-sub-variants-ba-4-and-ba-...

Poors are spreading it.

Poor Slacker. Poor, poor Slacker - the virus doesn't discriminate. Enjoy your pity party

>>expect it to get crowded up front and you'll likely  encounter the typical territorial 'hoodie mafia'  at this show near the rail.

Are you going to complain to Jill again?

Lol, You still complaining about Jill? Me? Too funny

You gonna crash our picnic again?

Wont be anywhere near you and never crashed anything of yours.

Haha, right. You have a nice day!

BTW, I'll have more marinated watermelon again.

Not sure what you're referring to with the watermelon.

Is watermelon a metaphor for an olive branch?

yes children, yes

lol

Yeah, apologies if I triggered anyone by mentioning 'the hoodie mafia' - if they no longer refer to themselves as such or have disbanded, awesome! Of course, it wouldn't be a Phil show without them..

(((buckle up)))

Sorry, thank you.

I want to talk to the manager.

Two sets of Phil! I received an email from AXS:

The event time has changed for Phil Lesh & Friends at Frost Amphitheater at Stanford onJune 4, 2022. The new schedule is as follows:

Doors: 4:30PM

Show: 5:00PM

If he wants to sell more tickets, he'll need to tease 'special guests'

in 3,2,1 ...

Sacred Rose - Friday, August 26 at the SeatGeek Stadium Campus in Bridgeview, Illinois

Philco: Phil Lesh’s Sacred Rose Friends Include Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy & Nels Cline

Jeff Chimenti, Karl Denson, Stu Allen, Grahame Lesh, John Molo and Elliott Peck round out Phil's band for the Chicagoland festival

That's a lot of guitars

At least four, if not five. Gonna be a busy stage.

Not to mention that venue, location, and the logistics thereof really suck out loud. Carry On & Enjoy!

The Scalper Resale Website Stadium

Wow I've not seen this tour list yet!

I've been too focused on the phishes (:

This thread makes me all wistful for when Phil tour threads only had rabble over the phriends. Eyeroll lol

what up, people seeing our leader or what?

i'm going to the washington show.

montana looks rad.

and the apple farm.?

I'm passing through Eugene on same day as Cuthbert show so might as well stop... ;)

Shout out of thanks to Portland Ken, who grabbed what must've been the only camping spots in Eugene reasonably close to the venue.

There's a tent spot left, if any Zoners are interested.

Have been wanting to go to that Montana venue but I then I'd have to miss DNB on the 20th.

In for Seattle (Redmond) and Missoula (Bonner) with a stop in between in Portland for Primus / Black Angels at Edgefield.

does, the pines club at marymoor offer covered areas or no? asking for a friend...

JUL 1 FRI

Good looking set of Friends for this show.

Going to be a good one on Friday.  Haven't seen Phil in a while. So very looking forward to this.

Just finished up getting tickets and camping to see Phil at the Beak & Skiff show. Very excited, its been ten years since I last saw Phil and can't wait to see him. What a treasure Phil is.

Today Phil added Amy Helm to the Bridgeport line up.

Looking forward to this one for a bit now, traveling up from South Jersey with 2 friends and then meeting Bob...he offered to drive us back to Jersey safely. I hear there will be pizza, fun and mind blowing music to Phil the air <3.

I only travel for the good ones these days, THIS is def a good one ;).

Say hi if you see us, been since the Cap "Q" shows actually.

^^^ tomorrow's lineup has got to be the best of the tour -- excited for Zoners who get to attend this date!

dance one for me, wish I could be there.
airfares are crushing my tour list.

would appreciate hearing about video stream options....

wish you were here, Grrrrl!!!!!!!!

at the very least, you'd find the best hang (;

will send phil your love

Have a great night... that venue looks amazing, I watched that video last night.
