Uke Kiddin' Me?

Forums:

I finally own an Alvarez.cheeky  Got a late Xmas gift at the 3rd(?) annual pre/post Super Bowl jam.

Alvarez Grateful Dead Concert Ukulele (Lightning).  Not something I'd have bought for myself, but pretty nice.  (I might have bought a uke, but passed on the dead-horse-beating merchandising part.)

The art is a mix of bears, roses and a zoom-in on a variation of the 13-point bolt.

Gonna take a bit to wrap my head around the open tuning and the octave-G top string .  Tiny frets an issue, as well.  Even though I only drag my mandolin out once or twice a year, it feels normal.  With this thing, I feel like Paul Bunyan trying to thread a needle.

I think I'm gonna go with Ripple as my uke breakout once I figure sh*t out.

Thanks, Mick!

Cool!

Nice, Bluest. Pluck away! A friend won a uke a few years ago and really took to it.

Congrats, Bluest. Enjoy.

Congrats, just picked up an Eric Johnson Strat from a friend, nothing to get ya to started playing again like a new guitar, hell I even been playing the others that I have not touched in a while, enjoy

Congratulations. Marcy Marxer has useful lessons.
