UB40s (imposter band content)

We were driving to the beach last weekend and saw a billboard for a UB40 show at an Indian casino, My partner remarked that she liked UB40, so today I started to look for tickets. I went to their official website and saw all sorts of shows in Europe and North America, but no mention of the show at the casino.
It turns out there are at least two UB40s going around using the name. Apparently, the UB40 playing at the casino is just the keyboard player and some other dudes pretending they were the real deal. Anyway, didn't get tickets for the fake UB40 but this reminded me of other bands like Starship, Steppenwolf,, and a legion of Motown bands that have multiple versions touring around.

Not really, Ken. The band
Not really, Ken. The band split evenly in two. The singer (one brother) and rapper left to form their own UB40 ft. whatshisface, and the band (other two brothers) kept on as UB40. I've seen them both, and they both have their charms. The band is the old school band, minus the singers, sobis good for what they do. The singer has the voice recognition, though. Who cares if it's an entirely new band.
I have been able to hang and chat with the band, and these cats were there at the beginning of the scene in England, Birmingham, I think. They know their music. That's worth a lot.
Overall, if it's cheap, check it out.
