Got these 2 beauties yesterday and had them for dinner, it doesn't get much fresher that that! Yum!

Nice work

Taste the rainbow

Nice catch, they are just are allowing you to harvest trout again in SW Florida, Redfish is still catch and release. I miss Mosquito Lagoon

Good looking fish. Lake or moving water?

Small stream feeding into The Brandywine Creek. Got these 2 out of the same hole within 1 cast of each other. Some places were only about 4 - 5 feet wide fast running water. Used canned corn 1 kernel at a time on a size 12 or 14 hook tied directly to the line, 1/8 or 1/4 oz. split shot at least 2 feet from the hook. Cast upstream from the hole, let it drift in and be trigger finger ready for a strike.

Good-sized trout for a small stream. They look to be 14-16" or so?

Thanks for the trout references, love it. I'll have new earworms for my next streamside jaunt!

Mike, It's a bit of camera illusion, they did clock in at just shy of 11" though. Really nice fish.

My Father taught me well, at least for fishing and taking pictures!

RIP Dad, I fish because of you, and I feel your presence there.

Thank You.

Top notch post there.

Smoked trout is one of life's finest pleasures, when done right.

I have trouble getting the bong lit.

Easter Sunday Trifecta!

Trifecta, indeed. They're beautiful; bon appetit!

Thanks Judit, I'll enjoy them tonight. Salt and pepper, light dusting of flour, sauteed in a combo of duck fat and bacon grease in a hot skillet. Yum yum!

The duck fat and bacon grease combo sounds lovely, and I like that you're not fancying them up with some complex coating.

Good eating.

Way NICE RocknRye ! yes
