Tried nutella for the first time

Forums:

Reminds me a little bit of a melted Hershey bar.

Any "pro tips"?

Waffles, pretzels, smeared inside an ice cream cone, if you use 'em.

Get the one with sugar; not HFCS (Canadian, maybe?  There was a difference in some markets).  Like Mexican Coke.

Some knock-offs are actually better. ShopRite Trading Co., f'rinstance.

lived on it and fresh baguettes in euro 90

great hat bro keep up the good work

Doooooooooooooood!

croissant w/ strawberries & nutella is how used to do

it's about 90% oil, so it's not something we eat anymore.

My favorite way to eat Nutella is on a spoon.

I don't buy it, because when you eat it that way you tend to eat a lot more of it.

Never tried it - allergic to hazelnuts.

Lotta fat and sugar in it, too.

Ritz cracker. Snap.

You can also put a dollop or two in your homemade chili recipe as it adds a nice balance, similar to brown sugar. Double snap.

PRO TIP :

1) Smoke some Kind Bud

2) Get Panini Press

3)  buy some pre cooked croissants

4) Slice and fill with Nutella and Or Strawberry Jelly

5) Press that Mutherflipper in panini press

6)  Remove from panini press and Powder with confectionary sugar

7) Eat it, Smoke a shitload of Kind Bud and watch "Greg the Bunny"

jelly is for losers

preserves or GTFO

Nutella+Peanut Butter+Sliced bananas samwich and cup of coffee is my go to breakfast when i'm in a hurry.

Great stuff, except for the palm oil...dans une crêpe,  bien sûr, nowexists many ,healthy alternatives, organic , no palm oil , kindda yummy

Unfortunately, that's what I've done the past two nights ... so unlikely I'll be quick to buy a new jar anytime soon.

I've learned that I don't really have much control with bad processed food in the house, so the best strategy is simply not to buy it in the first place.

Kinda fooled myself this time around, since I did watch some reviews (other than daylight's) ... and had an idea, but wanted a "frosting" for some healthy muffins I was making.

Couldn't help but wonder if it was more odd for me not to have tried nutella until I was 51 or my friend Jimmy from grade school who didn't try a banana until he was 13 in junior high?

I'm with you, FOM, if there's shit in the house, I'll eat it. When I go shopping I stick to the sides. When my lady shops she hits the aisles, where all the bad shit is.

If I want to lose 4 lbs, all I have to do is not smoke weed for 5 nights. Those munchies kill me, especially when there's shit a n the house to eat.

Is Nutella related to Moonalice?

I've been trying to train myself not to give in to the munchies. I think it's working. I've lost almost 10 lbs. during Covid isolation while smoking a helluva lot of weed.

More processed garbage...we do love our processing. But of course we can just make it natural organic free range processing and sell it Trader Joe’s and the world will think we’re doing better. It’s all pop tarts

Yeeecccchhhhhhh blaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh A more foul concoction has yet to be created

Don't bust a Nutella.

I buy 2 tubs for the kids when I make my Costco run. Noticing that they're not using as much as they used to.  I'll be happy not to buy that garbage.

An old timer in my grandparents neighborhood had a hazel nut tree and they were incorporated into some of the recipes... Needless to say ive hated it since I was a little kid.

Never tried it. It always seemed like the Velveeta of sweet treats.

hey man no need to be embarrassed or deny it, we support your life choices and like i said thats a really sweet hat bro

Preserves are for Perverts

Sriracha and cashew butter mixed.  Now that's a treat!

I'll raise you one Vegemite; ever try a motor oil sandwich?

Vegemiteontoast_large.jpg

I grew up in Australia, and never took a liking to Vegemite. It's friggin' nasty.

Made a whole bunch of plum jam  this week from our two trees. Brought some to a picnic in a park with our kids and 14 year old grand kid - socially distant doncha know. She hijacked the other half of the jam to take home with her.

I'm with you, FOM, if there's shit in the house, I'll eat it<<<

It sucks re: pandemic / craziness to follow ... since I'm hesitant to stock up on something like this, but wouldn't mind having it on hand for every once in a while.

I've managed to successfully keep several bottles of agave without them constantly being raided ... except when I was using it for pancake "syrup".   I can also hold on to dried fruits for a while too without eating them all at once.

I looked more closely at the ingredients more closely today and noticed that even though anything with sugar as the first ingredient along with palm oil can't be good, it doesn't have very many ingredients overall, nor are there any crazy artificial additives.  As bad as it is, it could be worse.

that jar in the fridge that becomes a talking point after all these years...

I got jerseys from both.

if you get talked into suck your whole life,

what's taste?

I tried Nutella for the first time at Compton Terrace lot in '90. Some fella slinging crepes.Mighty tasty, NutellaFella!

Nutella does not go in the fridge.  It's like peanut butter.  Soft is good!
