Tom Morello and The Revolution?

Forums:

Mr. Morello did a benefit show last night with The Revolution, Prince's old band for an orphanage in Kenya and rumor has it that we may see this lineup again going forward. While Tom has enough chops to handle the guitar work, I can't see his voice holding down a lot of the vocal duties. I would go to see them though.

sounds like a good show - but where is de la rocha's long fabled solo album? it has been in the rumor mill for years now, last year El-P said it would come out this year...we are weeks away from 2018 and still no album.

this track is El-P's best work since "I'll Sleep When You're Dead";

IDK about his solo album but this is how I remember Zack. I think that's 6th or 7th grade there

That's a great pic, 'Dise.

Would love to hear De La Rocha's long-delayed solo album. I liked his guest features on RTJ2 & 3. Great stuff. Dude still has the fire.

I've decided I don't like Tom Morello at all. Only Morello could put together a band with the RATM rhythm section and Chuck D and have it end up a completely hamfisted cheesefest. Meh.

I'm seeing The Revolution open for MMJ on their New Year's run at the end of the month. Really looking forward to it!

lol Mark I agree about Morello, he kinda bugs me. I post that picture about every 6 months, haha. Zack's so young and I must say he was possibly the nicest kid of all at my Jr. High. Really sweet and friendly to everyone. I doubt he'd recognize me now, he looks pretty much the same but a little bit bigger.

Count me in the non-Morello fan club.

Morello's "scratch solos" on RATM albums have not stood the test of time.  He's a solid riff guy when he's playing with the rhythm section; but left to his own devices, he's pretty insufferable.

Checkout 'Guerilla Radio' for a good example of Morello ruining an otherwise fantastic track.

Limp Bizkit

I did not enjoy his stint with the E Street band
