Saw my first show in 76-Rosevelt Stadium--but on balance, one of my least favorite years--the post 91 period being my least favorite.  Sure, plenty of gems in 76,  but with Mickey back in the saddle, they were still finding their sea-legs and the sound was often somewhat inconsistent having dropped the Wall and traveled light using some local town PA and gear rather then hauling it around.  When I lived in Boston, ued to go tp the Orphium all the time--great old theater. The Old Boston Music Hall (now the Wang Center) also was the scene of some 76 shows and better, IMHO.  The Series I Bass is a nice replica of the one Phil used in 76 when he wasn't playing big brown.

The Comes a Time from the night before was a masterpiece

Thanks for this.  I had the better part of this show on cassette for many years.  This is my first listen of set 1. I'm stupified by this performance. RJ,Mama Tried, Scarlet. WOW

Lol.

IMHO from Lazy Lightning on this second set is awesome.

OK I enjoy pre 74 shoes more, still (minus Pig) it's the same musicians.
