Three excellent shows and a fine send-off for the E81 tour...
9/25/81 was an unusual show with Sugar Magnolia not ending the second set and sandwiching Sunshine Daydream.
Buffalo 9/26/81 was my first ever Morning Dew. A really nice second set with a Playing In The Band opening & closing sandwich....
9/27/81 was a long ass haul from Buffalo to metro Washington DC. We were exhausted from the drive. The band was probably also exhausted, even though they took an airplane for the short hop flight. The show was not all that memorable, except for the first east coast It's All Over Now Baby Blue. If they had played that song in Buffalo, I probably would have stayed for the Rolling Stones concert at Rich Stadium on 9/27.
My friends went to see the Stones in Philly the afternoon of the 25th with George Thorogood & the Destroyers and Journey and then drove to Lehigh to see the dead. Flew on People's express the next day to see the dead in Buffalo, flew home early the next morning and drove to DC to see the dead again. That's a road trip.

9/27/81 was a long ass haul from Buffalo>>>
Maybe the toughest road trip for me without a day off, almost 400 miles. Made Phoenix>Vegas the month before feel like a breeze.
Buffalo 9/26/81 was my first ever Morning Dew. A really nice second set>>>
Caught Dew for the first time in Vegas, sooo glad they put it back in the rotation @ Salt Lake.
2nd set energy was amazing, GDTRFB after a brief Eyes tease, then Playin' finish after Dew, blazing stuff.
Lehigh U was an oversold sweatbox, two raging 11 song sets.

Went to the Buffalo 9/26/81. We took the AMTRAK from NYC and yes, left Central Station at quarter to nine.
Departure time was 8:45 AM.
Some of Phil's Bass runs vibrated the Balcony boxes to the point where you questioned if they would lose structural integrity and crumble.
After all it's ancient concrete and metal, and some construction company cheated on materials to make a few extra $$.
