This time they almost got me busted.
So for a while, I parked the pickup truck and drove the little Subaru around, better Gas mileage and all that. Truck has not been on the road much since late June.
The other Day, a pal is helping me move some heavy objects, and notices that the Brake lights don't work. He was following my truck in his Jeep.
We were stopping for Lunch. We grab the Chevrolet owner's manual and quickly trace the Brake Light fuse(s). Meanwhile, the Pizza is getting cold.
So there is a fuse - box in the driver compartment, near the Wheel. The likely suspect, a 10 Amp fuse, looks OK.
And then there is another fuse - box in the engine compartment. We trace the likely culprit to another 10 Amp fuse, but it seems welded in. We got it out with some pliers.
GUESS WHAT !! It was Mouse-pee that created the Deadly scenario. Upon closer inspection, there were Mouse-poops in that fuse box. And tiny seed-hulls as well.
How the Heck do these little rodents get in there ??? There's not even a quarter-inch of clearance for the little bastards to wriggle in. Thank Goodness they did not create any motor vehicle accidents, those Damn rodents.
The Mice are Enemies against Hu-Person progress in Society. They must be slaughtered in every possible way.

This happened just the other
This happened just the other day.
Two year old car; brought to dealer for service because still on warranty. The wife and I are sitting there waiting for the shuttle so we can go to lunch while they work on the car. Suddenly the srvice manager comes up to us and shoves a plate in our faces. At first I thought he was bringing us snacks. I looked more closely at the plate as I was backing away from it and it looked like a platter of buds, green and lumpy - harvest season doncha know. The guy then said "have you ever had mice in your car?"
Turned out it was a plate of mouse turds and macerated pieces of green foam insulation mouse nest. The pile was about 8 inches high. It was found in the engine air intake filter box. Two other customers ran from the room with their hands over their mouths - it was pretty stinky.
I was gonna give him shit about it if they sent me the threatened customer satisfaction survey, but so far it hasn't showed up in my in box. Wonder why.
