The Third Mind

Forums:

Really enjoy the album and can't wait for the live shows.

Michael Jerome is a fucking beast.  I'd like to see him with a Phil lineup.

it's currently number 99 on billboards top albums list.

we got the pre-order that includes 2 alternate mixes of East West.

the 1st leg of the west coast run will have Kim Thayill subbing for David Immergluck.

we'll be seeing the east coast run in may.

Can you share the east coast dates I googled it and found nothing

east coast haven't been released yet.  I've been told they will be coming through atlanta.

Ok

They sound awesome!

It's Camper Van BeetAlvin!

I'd say it's closer to Monks Of Alvin.

I really enjoyed this, thank you for sharing. Would definitely love to hear this band in a room live, wow. "Claudia Cardinale" shows a bent. tripped-out influence from modern and post-modern corners, Ennio Morricone to Stockhausen, thru a cosmic chillbilly lens.

Insanely rocking, twangy, awesomely LOUD guitar music. So Sick.

We listened to the album post game on the lanai looking at the ocean. Was great. Dave Alvin is one of my very favorite guitar players. Stoked to see him get out there...

Michael Jerome is a fucking beast. <<

This.

Yes monks if Alvin. Ha ha of course!

I like the idea of what they're doing but I haven't really been able to get into the recordings. But then I rarely get much into any recordings, and I am looking forward to seeing this live in April.

Because to me no matter what Dave Alvin is doing, he does it better live.

Cool tunes

Always loved Michael Jerome's work with RT, did not know this about him...

"Jerome is double-jointed and ambidextrous."

Read a review of the record elsewhere that claims they the East West was better than the original , sorry no . As good a player as Alvin is , Bloomfield was better imo

Cool stuff, thanks for posting.

Nice...thanks for the tip.

Announced, but will they happen?

I just got the disk in the mail yesterday.  Wow.  A lot of really good and a little meh. First song started off shaky as hell but overall the album is pretty damn good.

I was not familiar with the song East/West(much to my embarrassment), But holy fuck!

I have since listened to the original, and I think this is right up there.  I just wnt to keep turning it up. And there are 3 versions on the disk.

Morning Dew is solid, but I am not totally sold on the vocal.

rescheduled shows announced for SF, L.A. & SD:

Aug  20 the Chapel

Aug  21 the Troubadour

Aug  23 the Casbah

hope Immergluck is available for these, if they happen.
