Thanks for Zonners

Forums:

My first major thanks in the deep winter is JUDIT. Tomorrow is the first year after my best friend, love Bart died.

The / Zone/ Viva was Bart aka   Henry 's playground.

I really appreciate all of your support.

I was fortunate to meet so many of you "ole Zonners" this past year and many others that I had no idea how close you All loved him too.

Thanks:Judit,Mylar,Alias,Redneck,Mylar,Johnny D,Nancy in the Sky!,Mark D,TURTLE,Garyfish, Mike B, Slickrock who I never met but felt the love ...and Schnee who I met last  month who grew up/ lived in the  same New  Jersey town. And all who I don't know!

Somehow,Johnny D got   missed as ever one else.

Dear M, there you are, being nice.

I've been thinking of you and Henry as February 1st approaches. That day last year was a powerful one. You and Henry and your collective sweetness had just come up in a deep and meaningful conversation I had; minutes after I came home from that conversation I got your scary tragic email about your beloved Henry.

We loved Bart here, he was a tender big beautiful zoner. There was no one who shared himself/his music like he did. I am so sorry for your loss.

And we love you here. Big love.

Here here. Love and comfort to you, Be Nice, as you mark the time. Here's hoping the wonderful memories of a life well-lived are a comfort.

I'm thinking of you, Benice.

Love always,

John

All the best thoughts and wishes for you, Benice.

and hugs (((((Benice)))))

LOVE to you benice.

hope you are staying warm up there!

love bart.

PS--be CAREFUL coming back on Sunday, snow level will be down to 3K feet!!!!!

Testing.....

Who is your favorite band / artist other then the dead, phil, & nrps?

Be Nice - Bart Was A Great Man - Always Remember Just Hanging With Him at Zoner Jam - WE All Miss Him So Much.

Be Nice asked me to post this since she's having trouble posting it on Viva (the test above worked, the next time didn't):

I am home now after spending the weekend off the mountain to see RRE in Berkeley.I was fortunate to experience great music with some Zonners Emily wearing her Bill Murray Ground Hog Day knitted gem of a sweater,Nancy in the Sky wearing a sparkly sequence cape with a railroad on the back,Mr 'Nancy ' in a cool western shirt, some known Zonners, some that Henry aka Bart knew and old New Jersey friends.

The band became what Emily called "The Railroad Earth Orchestra" .Guest musicians for the weekend :

Holly Bowling on keyboards,Eric Yates of Hot Buttered Rum playing multiple instruments,Bo from New Monsoon (Saturday) and the fabulous "Lebo" of ALO who ripped up a unbelievable guitar solo on Friday. The founding members brought their talents to a higher level On Friday February 1st it was a show so rare & psychedelic that it would probably never be repeated.

If anyone has ever lost a loved one knows that a surprise dam of  tears could burst unexpectedly. One of my top favorite living songwriters is Todd Schaefer.A very talented guitar player as well. His song "Mourning Flies" invited the spirit of Henry to the venue . The last verse of lyrics broke my dam of tears wide open .

 "Will you ever know?

I'll be right there with you...

I have a map of your heart...

The pieces & parts to make it whole again"

PLF= he loved those Zonner Jams as well and loved you too.

Bluelight=Bart was more of the Deadhead,and I like most all old classic,blues, rock,folk and bluegrass.Stones,Van Morrison,Richard Thompson,Bonnie Raitt,Leftover Salmon,Railroad Earth,Jackson Browne ,Cowboy Junkies etc.

Also love Gershwin,Brahms some opera.

Ironically,I am having a difficult time listening to Dead music without breaking down.I can get through maybe one song.

I am very Grateful to all of you!
