Terry McAuliffe

Forums:

Democratic governor of Virginia, pretty much (sort of) announced on the Daily Show last night that he's in the 2020 race.

For the Virginians out there, is he for real? Is he a good guy? Respected and respectable? Enigmatic?

Just wondering...

Sleazeball

I live in Richmond, and I'd rather see the Mayor Levar Stoney throw his hat in the ring than McAuliffe. If you haven't heard of Stoney, look him up. He'll be a household name in a few years. Extremely proactive. He's done more for this city in the last 6 months than the last three mayors combined. McAuliffe, though? Meh...

Sleazeball - well then he MUST be running!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh look, Hillary is doing her Monica Lewinsky impersonation!

Yea, no.

He has a great resume, and all, but the Dems would be wise to put the Clinton era to bed. Mr. McAuliffe is nothing but an extension of the Clinton establishment.

Yup.

Warren/Booker 2020.

Castro/Hickenlooper 2020

>>>Oh look, Hillary is doing her Monica Lewinsky impersonation!

Bahhahahahaha

Booker - if ya want to win.

If anything, the 2016 election shows the Dems can't win again with anything remotely Clinton, especially coupled with that boring old sod Kaine.

Julian Castro?

Or how about Jeff Merkley, an outspoken Trump critic and the only senator to have endorsed Bernie Sanders?

YUP.

The playbook has already been written. Engage and empower a minority class.

Of course, Little Marco can match that (somewhat). Although, the Cuban population is a blip compared to Mexamericans.

Kamala Harris the new Senator from CA will probably run too

 Warren/Colbert

Terry McAuliffe is the personification of everything that is wrong with the Democratic party right now.

So please nominate this ass hate.  I'm begging you.  On the other hand, probably won't make much difference.

I was talking with my 24 year old nephew a few days ago.  American University graduate, as left as they come.  Even he is resigned to eight years of Trump.

I'm not.

He won't make it out of the JV debates and will come in 11th in Iowa

The Dem primary in 2020 is going to be a complete fucking circus, assuming we have a presidential election at all
