Tab Beniot

Forums:

Caught a really fun night of music at the Boulton Center in Bayshore produced, starring and featuring Tab Benoit.

Billed as Whiskey Bayou Records Revue featuring Jeff McCarthy on vocals, Eric Johanson on guitar and Tab Benoit.

Eric & Jeff came out opened the show with Tab on drums. My video below starts out with my favorite track that Eric Johanson just kills it on.

Then Tab plays with his trio all night, brings Eric & Jeff out to close the show

It was my first Tab Benoit show, God-willing, there will be many more for him & some for us too.

I was much more taken by his stand-up comedic abilities. Had us laughing all night long. Told a great story of breaking his arm as kid at Joe Namath football camp.

Listen he's playing at the Stan Hope house in Stan Hope NJ tonight & we made fun of you people. Go check out Tab tonight and make fun of us, he will.

3 and half hour show with no intermission.

Check Tab Beniot. If you have, you are in the know. If you have not, put him down on your list to see someday.

No photographs. Tab was wearing the same shirt as his compadre Mike Zitto did 5 months back. Kind of Goofy.

I think Larry Campbell has the same shirt.

Haha. This all starting to make sense.

Going a St Patty's Day concert tonight. Larry Kirwan from Black 47 & have no Green Shirts to wear.

It was real fun putting this set list together tonight.

Great show. Wonderful talent. Well worth the view

This is great shit.

Has a high "Like" ratio & is recommended for you.

The first time I saw him I was up very close to the stage. The band was okay, however my eyes were drawn to Tab’s much too tight jeans showing his dick. It was not a pretty sight to my eyes, and he’s grossed me out ever since.

Yup. Just saw 2 videos of shows from this night and the next and the man needs some space. Both sound wise and visually.

Eric Johanson who opened up for Tab reminds me a whole lot like Johnny Winter. (That goes a real long way, here on Long Island. He made a bunch of new fans)

Tall skinny tired-pale kid picks a red $6000 brand new Paul Reed Smith Red electric guitar - off the stage and starts waling on it with glass slide on it like Johnny Winter. Made me feel uncomfortable at first, like he was going scratch it all up. But no, the kid is a master. Big time. Tab produces his new album. Unbelievable. Kid is gifted.

Eric is also Tab's roadie. So he's there setting up both rigs before the show and re-setting up Tab's guitar for the main set. He's very friendly and willing to share about the guitars being used for the night.

Tab said we're the model of efficiency: 2 bands, only 6 musicians.

Tab always stops by our campsite at NJ crawfish fest after he plays and is a super nice guy, haven't checked out his package but excited to hear him this year
