Drove pch from Oxnard to Santa Monica today.  Was real big and clean.

I watched a documentary called under the sky the other day that was pretty good. I think that's the title....haha. It was on Netflix about some surfers who went to Iceland to surf. Some crazy stuff in there. It is a short documentary if anyone is interested, think maybe 40 minutes.

little cold up here though

No pix or coastal trips planned for this swell - it's not gonna be photogenic, it's gonna get UGLY. Onshore windy at about 55 mph, cloudy, foggy, and rainy. Flooding of low-lying areas, including Hwy. 101, is forecast. I'm gonna stay in bed with the covers over my head. smiley

Why not a 4 story house for scale?

Oregon and Washington coasts got pounded hard today, here's a few vids from Facebook, and pics from Lincoln City (also FB)

>>> Why not a 4 story house for scale? <<<

Maybe because most of us can envision a 2-story building for comparison but can't a 4-story. I can see 2-stories in my mind, but never see 4-story houses; it just wouldn't work for me.

Big waves for sure.  Some dude was out watching the waves down in Depoe Bay (10 miles south of where those pictures above were taken) when a wave snuck up and sucked him out to sea,  Power of the ocean never ceases to amaze.

Incredible!

ummmm.

why not?

for similar reasons as most can't envision a 17 story building accurately
