Surfing Revolution: Perfect Man Made Waves is the future

Forums:

I am an unabashed fan of surfing - though I am no good at it and only attempted to catch waves a half dozen times - but I think it's way more enjoyable to watch then any kind of ball game.

This is entirely new and amazing twist on surfing from Kelly Slater, and it will soon revolutionize the sport - predictable man-made perfect waves that test a surfer's skill - not their ability to read conditions.

Hey - I'm not saying it's good for every day surfing - cause the dynamic of changing conditions and being in nature is half the fun - but for actual competitive surfing - the creation of a level playing field where the wave conditions are consistently the same for all surfers means skill and not luck is the operative factor.

This kind of stuff is what I go surfing to get away from.

Ya know, it's a  perfect wave. If I was near enough and it was open to the public or I had an invite - sure I'd ride a few. One time.

To me, surfing is being with nature and away from machinery, pay to play, a lot of people, and identical waves.

I'm sure it will be a big SUCKcess. smiley
