On Aug. 1, Guitarist Stu Allen will lead a celebration of what would have been Jerry Garcia’s 76th birthday.
The show will take place at Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael, Calif,, and Allen will be joined by Reflections, a collective of musicians featuring Cheryl Rucker, Shirley Starks, Danny Eisenberg, Steve Adams and Ezra Lipp.
The show’s setlist will consist of Jerry Garcia Band tunes, and tickets are available here.

That's a good group. I already have a ticket to something else, but it didn't cost much so I'm considering going to this instead.
I like Stu's playing a lot, especially when he's playing with Phil (Phil feeds ideas to everyone he plays with that they would never consider otherwise) but in my experience I've always thought Stu's best playing was with Melvin, playing the JGB catalog. He can rip that stuff up.
It should be a fun time in the little room.
